Question: doesn’t the initial installation add the phpbb users to the wordpress user list?

I’m working with Amichai on this.

We did a 2nd test install and got the same result. Everything *seems* to work EXCEPT that on the PHP BB Options page we still get the Auth mode error.

We did have to use the method of changing auth mode to wpbb in the phpbb forums ACP.

While it’s great that all is working, we’re concerned about rolling this into production on a phpbb forums that has over 5,000 registered users.

Any advice/feedback/similar experience would be most appreciated.

I found the issue. I was using User Role Editor and had too many permissions set there. Thanks!

I am experiencing this same issue, where the sound continues after stopping video playback on an embedded youtube video. This occurs in IE and Chrome.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Oh, that was my mistake, I figured it out.

I did notice one ?bug?. The uploaded logo on the log in page displays fine but, in Chrome, the aspect ratio is off — it gets squished.

I upgraded and now it’s working.

However, if I use “show names only” I get an error:
Error (ID 2568) insufficient client permissions (failed on clientinfo 20916/0x51B4)

Show channel list works though. Odd.

Yes, I was able to make SFC work but I had to completely uninstall it, reinstall it, re-authorize the app.

Kind of odd (and annoying) since it was working just fine for years…

Hmm, I’m still getting an error when trying to post to a FB Fan page:

I just upgraded two sites to 3.1. The first went fine. The second, not so much.

I followed esmi’s advice above and it worked. Thanks very much for that.

Note to self: Upgrade plugins before upgrading WordPress core files. (My issue was that one of my plugins was not the latest version and caused the entire site to go down.)

Hi. I’m fairly new to WordPress and, after working a couple static pages, and sub-pages, my slugs now have a “-3” at the end. I’d very much like to get rid of these.

I have tried editing the slug but the url does not change. I have deleted all the old versions of the pages so there shouldn’t be any conflict. I also tried some plugins that were referenced in similar threads but no matter what I do the slug (and url) revert to “-3” version.

Is there any way to fix this?

I took a peek into the posts.php table and noticed that there are lines for each of my older versions of the page — would it be possible to change it there?
