I think I found the plugin that caused problems with the customizer. The Hueman Addons plugin has not yet been updated to the new WordPress version. If you deactivate this plugin, the customizer loads normally.

I have now tested with another site that was not yet updated and it is probably not due to the latest update from Hueman but to a compatibility problem with WordPress 5.5.

With the older version of WordPress and the latest update from Hueman, the customizer works as usual, only after I also updated WordPress the customizer was no longer loaded correctly.

I’m going to wait and see what’s going to happen. I don’t want to give up the best theme to date, the Hueman theme.

I deactivate Matomo for the time being until something like Google Analytics results, where you can choose whether statistics can be collected. This is currently too risky for me because of the GDPR.
