In reply to: [The Events Calendar] WordPress Customizer breaks after TEC installationHello @bamadale,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?
- Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
- Switching to the Default theme.
Please read the Testing for Conflicts article before doing anything.?
Also, enabling the WordPress Debug feature may help diagnose this problem. You can enable it via wp-config.php or a third-party plugin WP-Debugging. We have an article about this, and I believe this will help you.
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/how-to-enable-debugging-in-wordpress/
To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website. Once done, do share a screenshot or screencast/error log of the results.
I hope that helps. I am exicted to hearing back from you.
Hello @letaajohnson,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes. However, this would require a bit of customization. Please note that we can only provide limited support for customization like this per our scope of support.
Refer to this article regarding customization: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/custom-development/.
Here is a list of template files for The Events Calendar.?You can view our?Full guide on customizations, our REST API, and our Developer Docs here:https://docs.theeventscalendar.com.
I hope that helps. Do not hesitate to reach out if you need further assistance.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Polylang issueHello @sashomi77,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
I’m afraid the support for Polylang actually comes from its developer and only when using Polylang PRO. Since we didn’t create the plugin or its integration abilities, it would be best to reach out to their developers –https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/guide/translating-the-events-calendar/#wpml-support.
Also, note that warnings are not errors but messages showing something that needs to be improved but not stopping your site from working correctly. You can make those errors stop showing by disabling the debug mode on your
wp-config.php
file. Refer to – How To Enable & Disable WordPress Debug Mode.I hope that helps.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Integrate Events Calendar on WP site with TeamSnap?Hello @trex556,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
I’m afraid we currently don’t have an integration with TeamSnap.
This is also a great idea, so if this is something you would like to see in a future release, please submit a feature request on our Ideas page.?
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Critical Error when posting eventsHello @cbergy21,
Thanks for your reply.
Could you check if your site’s WP Memory is low. You can use?this plugin?to check your memory usage. If the usage percentage is over 75% when you try to run the preview, that’s likely the issue. Increase your WP Memory limit and try again.
If that didn’t help, try this snippet:
add_filter( 'tec_events_custom_tables_v1_db_transactions_supported', function(){ return false; } );
Also, confirm if there are no caching or whatsoever on the server side before proceeding.
I hope that helps.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Multiple venue in event and ticket timeHello @newuser111,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Currently, you can only adding one venue to an event.
As an alternative, you can add other Venues in the event description.
When creating tickets, you can set different start and end date/time for each of them.
Refer to the article – Creating?Tickets.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Can’t access to wordpress editing pageHello @afsalismail93,
I am so sorry you are running into this issue.
This issue seems to me like there is some kind of conflict with another plugin or even an outdated Extension.
Would you mind doing a Conflict testing like explained on the link below:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/testing-for-conflicts/
It will help us nail down what might be the culprit of the problem.
I hope that helps. I am excited to hear back from you.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Event Description TruncatedHello @hroelke,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
The reason the event description is truncated is that it is showing the excerpt instead, which is a sample of the event content.
You can set it to show the actual event content by customizing this file:?/the-events-calendar/src/views/v2/list/event/description.php
Now, you will need to create a copy of the file and place it here: [your-theme]/tribe/events/v2/list/event/
In line 24 where it says?$event->excerpt, replace it with?$event->post_content
For this one, you’d need to do a Template Customization.
I want to note here that as per our Support Policy, we cannot provide full support for Customization or third-party integrations, even if we have a guide on our Knowledge base. It is still up to you as the end-user to implement this.
Let me know if that helps.
Hello @killsparrow,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes. As Darian mentioned, the issue was fixed in version 6.2.1 of the plugin. You can find it in the released note he shared – https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guRzjNn.
Simply update the plugin to the lastest version and that does the trick. You can as well test it in a Staging Environment if you have any.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Hello @mosteckejezero
The reason is that when using Code Snippets, there’s a default opened PHP tag https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOuPNEWk. So it’d be best to avoid it – https://share.getcloudapp.com/8Lu6QNd6.
However, you can either use CSS or the code snippet to hide the calendar button. Whichever works best for you.
I hope that clarifies things.

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] PHP Warnings when using PHP 8.1Hello @bulutozturk1993,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
We don’t have support for PHP 8.1 at the moment since it’s still relatively new. We are currently working to improve our support for It so that when 7.4 reaches End of Life (EOL) in November, our customers can upgrade without any issues, and once that’s done, we will focus on including support for 8.1.
You can also downgrade to PHP 7.4 which we support and check Refer to –?https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/php-version-requirement-changes/.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.
