In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightOK, the PHP in the header.php file is a little too advanced for me. I can’t see where the logo is pushed to the display to turn it into a short-code or php function.
Is there another way of accessing that area to the top right of the screen while having the logo to the top left?
In the widget for the top-bar, I can’t access the top left of the screen.
Thank you,I am also looking for this. Also, from the front-display, can I have something that says “Pay what you wish” or nothing? The display gotten by the short-code

In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightOK, I am using a child, where is the logo?
Would I just put it in my functions.php file?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightI still would like to control the styling of the logo through the theme options page.

In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightThat worked, but is there any way for me to access the widget settings in my custom div? I still would like to control the styling through your panel.
I tried
<div id=”logo” style=”display: block;”>
But it didn’t work.
I’m pretty sure because it is an id it is canceling on the first call. Is there any way to make a class or something from the #logo id?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightI thought that was what I wanted, but I finally tried it out and it is in the right place, but it pushes the logo text down.
Can I either:
1. make the logo text equal with the search area
2. remove the logo and just make the logo by hand in the text widget next to the search bar?

In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightThank you, I think one of those will do it!
Thanks,Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Positioning an element on the top rightI would like it always on the top right. Currently my logo is on the left and I have a lovely blank space on the right. I would like this on all the pages. It is going to be dynamic, so it will change if people are logged in or if they are not.
I can do this with CSS, but when the site changes to mobile, I believe that the whole structure changes of the menus and sizing and whatnot. Is this not correct?
So I would like to take advantage of this if possible.
I can write it all, but would rather fit it within your theme.
The search box on the top bar is where I would like the picture.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [YOP Poll] Before VoteHe is asking why there is a checkbox when you can’t vote.
I would like to know the same. This is pointless and ugly.
If that checkbox and submit button could be taken away if you can’t vote, it would be perfect!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [YOP Poll] Strange (unwanted) display after votingThis is something I would like as well.
Also, before the poll, if the person is not logged in and they are not aloud to vote I do not want them to have anything but the results.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Virtue] Adding blog posts to a static pageAhh, OK. I don’t want that because then I can’t add other stuff onto the page.
The plugin is too cumbersome as the events aren’t considered blog posts.
I also can’t customize the look of it.
I think all I would need would be:
1. a way to write html or markdown in for the header and text under it.
2. A way (not needed as the current way is fine now, but it would be nice) of customizing how the posts showed under the heading.
3. Also nice, but not really needed is a template for adding events, kind of like the plugin above. Only have them be blog posts and not their own thing.
4. have the ability to set a date for the event to change tags.
5. have the ability for me to change the message in HTML or markdown if there are no events.
6. Possibly have a way to hook into a service like mail chimp so events can be sent out as an email to subscribers. All of this can be done with plugins currently, but the amount of code is not that much and the amount of plugins for this is quite a lot.

In reply to: [Virtue] Adding blog posts to a static pageHello,
I do have it set as full, here is a screen-shot:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14968661/Theme%20Options.jpgThe only thing that I don’t understand is the text right above the field here it says:
Latest Post Display
If Latest Post page is font page. Choose to show full post or post excerpt.
Full
FullWhat is font page?
Is there any way to add text below the heading so I can either put a link that says something like:
view past events
and or a link that says:
subscribe to events? Here are just the posts that I found that talked about an events page. They talked about themselves making an events page, but it wasn’t in the subject name.

In reply to: [Virtue] Adding blog posts to a static pageThank you.
I got that plugin working, but while looking through all the settings, I found where I could put recent blog posts on the home page.
I was able to use another plugin to change the category after a certain date, but I have three problems:
1. Like so many before me, I can’t seem to display my blog posts in full without the expand button. I have all locations for blog posts set to full, although I only really would like the front-page to be full.
2. If there are no blogs in the category, I would like to show a display message.
3. Is there a way so that people can subscribe to my new events?Have you guys considered building a quality latest events page to use blog posts? Do you get a lot of people asking questions about showing events on the front page?
