In reply to: [Download Manager] Icon image sizesThanks – it seems 2 of the 3 PP options are smaller, but the third is larger.

In reply to: [Database Sync] Remote site not accessible (HTTP 403)Yes, I am trying to pull from the live site into the dev site.
Can you confirm what you mean by password authentication? I have a capture on the wordpress login screen and also have this on a different url from the normal /wp-admin url. Would either of these be the problem?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Simple Full Screen Background Image] Has it changed the way it works?Oh – that’s bizarre. Will keep investigating to see if I can work out what might be causing it on the site – thks for the feedback.

In reply to: [Simple Full Screen Background Image] Has it changed the way it works?Ok – nothing’s changed with the theme but I guess an update to the plugin has resulted in the clash. Annoying as this was the one plugin that seemed to make b/g images work!
Ok – thanks – that’s great – will give it a go.

In reply to: [Download Manager] Master password possible? Thanks for the reply Shaon –
I’ve been looking at the pro version and it seems to offer this option – by adding multiple passwords, where one could always be the master password – is that correct or am I misreading it?
I understand this means adding the master password each time, but that would be fine for the purposes my client has.
Also, if I upgrade to pro, will all my current download still work ok?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Some emails are never receivedI haven’t but will give it a go although not entirely sure what to ask them to look for. I should be receiving notifications to 3 addresses, one on the core domain on which the form is embedded and 2 others (gmail and hotmail). With the last two messages, no emails were received anywhere.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Some emails are never receivedOk – two new enquiries in the dashboard today and no emails received again. I now have three notification email addresses – one for the domain, one at gmail and one at hotmail.
None has received any notifications today.
Would really like an answer to whether this is fixable or a terminal.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Some emails are never receivedI have just realised this has happened on a site I have developed too.
All forms should be sent to 2 email addresses.
Out of about 30 entries in the DB, 3 have never turned up as emails to either address (including spam folders) and 1has arrived at one but not the other.
Now we know we can check the dashboard, but this is a real pain as clients just cannot rely that all contacts are coming through.
Any suggestions?

In reply to: [Advanced Excerpt] Not removing shortcodesA further update. Thinking the problem might be something specific to the particular polling plugin and its associated shortcode I installed a an alternative version today.
Unfortunately the problem has not gone away although thankfully the ‘nonsense’ text that appears in the extract is much shorter than with the previous one.
I would really appreciate any suggestions on how to remove it completely.
Many thanks.

In reply to: [Advanced Excerpt] Not removing shortcodesThree additional observations on this:
1) From today, two other posts that had shortcodes in the custom extract worked fine and were ignored, but the [yop_poll…] shortcode again produced a page of code
2) Older polls using the [yop_poll…] shortcode are rendering fine in the extract – even after rebuilding the cache – just the most recent one seems to be going wrong
3) The error is repeated in an RSS generated email from the site using MailChimp
Any suggestions or insights would be most welcome because it looks a real mess.
Thanks!

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Bad RequestUpdate:
I have been able to repeat the issue myself using a mobile device and the mobile platform served up by WP Touch.
Basically it is not giving the “Bad response” error but it just doesn’t work – when you click to vote it just refreshes the page but no vote is registered. Same if you click “View results” – it just reloads and doesn’t show the results.
I have turned WP SUper Cache off and the problem is not changed so this particular aspect does not seem to be related to that but instead seems to be, if anything, a WPTouch issue.
However, as I have said previously, it has not been as issue previously.

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Bad RequestThanks for the reply. Just so I can understand (I’m afraid I am not a techie), does this mean the YOP poll does not work with WP Super Cache?
The odd thing is that it clearly does work most of the time as I have been running a daily poll for several months and get lots of votes every day.
However, it seems that for a proportion of voters they either get a ‘bad request’ message or, for some, the poll just does not take their vote.
Although I am still trying to clarify, it appears those having problems are on mobile devices and possibly using the WPTouch mobile version of the site. Again, others on mobile platforms have been able to vote and those having problems have previously been able to vote.
The really puzzling thing is that WP Super Cache is specifically set to allow WP Touch so I would not have expected the problem from people viewing this way.
Anyone successfully using YOP with WPTouch running for mobile devices?
Anyone doing the same with WP SuperCache too? Thanks!

In reply to: [YOP Poll] Bad RequestI am getting the same problem but it is an apparently random – but quite frequent – issue for my users that is starting to annoy them.
I use WP Super Cache, but again, most users are able to vote ok but on occasions they get the ‘bad request’ error.
To be clear, individual users sometimes can vote and sometimes cannot, rather than some always being ok and others always having problems.
Any thoughts?
