Thanks @jack-all now we have to wait for Dutch editor to approve your translations, then people in Belgium will receive a “Translation update” on their WordPress, then your translation will go alive.

I have to say, WordPress translation team are mostly volunteers, so the wait could be long.

I translated this plugin for other 10 languages are still waiting for approval….

Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this delay at this time, unless we switch for another API.

But good news is, the api author knows this issue and he is working on it,

when he finishes the job on his side, our data will be more time-efficient without any modification.

If you know any free, world wide fast coronavirus data API, recommendation is most welcomed.

Until then, we have to wait and see.

Thanks for using this plugin, you saw that error message means you can’t get the api data.

And I saw your post on github:

when you try to get the api data directly on your browser you also get I quote:

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

The reason for DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN is typically due to a misconfiguration or problem with your DNS. DNS is short for Domain Name System, which helps direct traffic on the internet by connecting domain names with actual web servers. Essentially, it takes a human-friendly request – a domain name like api.com – and translates it into a computer-friendly server IP address – like 216.3.128.12.

So the problem is your device can not read the API domain, so you can’t get any feedback from API.

Since I don’t know witch operating system you are using, thus I suggest you google for “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN”, there are alot of solutions for this issue, when you fix the DNS problem, go:
https://wuhan-coronavirus-api.laeyoung.endpoint.ainize.ai/jhu-edu/brief
on your browser again to test if the problem is solved.

@jack-all Belgium and other 21 countries added. Please update to version 1.1.2.

Yes you can add codes to this plugin, temporarily. Belgium, request had been heard, I will add more countries in next release, including Belgium.

As the error message, it is there on /public/js/corona-virus-data-public.js line13 and line24. When the api goes down or networking problem, it will show ‘The API server may be down, please try again.’ to users, thanks for helping.

I’m using the classic p2, my main site was in private network so i’ve setup a test server to repoduce the error.

It’s a almost-new test site with p2 classic.
1cpu 1GB
nginx1.14
Php 7.3
Wordpress 5.1
With latest p2classic theme installed.

Ideally when you click “reply” on a post in front page, the comment-form will show up without leaveing the page, but when I update to WordPress 5.x this function seems not working, click “reply” will lead you to single post page.

Is there any way to keep the way just like before?
