Repost doesn’t insert ads into sites. We do insert ads into reposted content, that’s what pay for the content license. If you are seeing ads in content that is not a Repost embed it’s nothing to do with us.

That means the script didn’t run – either if got filtered out (you need to be an editor or admin on wordpress to post scripts) – if you can send a link to the failed pot to us at [email protected] we’ll be able to tell you exactly what broke.

You can setup your adsense tags to travel withe tyour content – you do that via the dashboard at https://secure.repost.us/ If you are embedding content from another site you are free to show ads around it just as you would a youtube video.

You can achieve something very similar to that with the “saved search” feature. By selecting the host you want in a search (click the host name under an article in the results to see just that host) then save the search and you will have a feed of content from that host.

Post.us is a clean 3.7.1 install we did last week so I can’t speak to the upgrade path. The only issues we had were:

    1) No social buttons – eventually we found the protect from filters setting and turned that off and our social buttons came back.

    2) The plugin doesn’t create featured images, we wrote a small shim that is specific to our feed sources that does that.

    Otherwise it’s been painless.

FWIW the Repost plugin doesn’t resize images so I don’t think we’re the cause.

You can configure ad tags to travel with your content via the repost dash htts://secure.repost.us/ – we don’t pickup ads from the originating site because you may have sold that space specifically for that site. Instead we let you setup ad tags from whatever ad serving system you use and we insert those tags into your content when it’s reposted.

The first ad runs ~300px down the story (varies to clear images) and if the story is longer than 800 words we’ll insert a second one 800px further down.

These are your ads, you get to sell them and you keep the money.

We put one of our ads under the story, that’s ours, we keep the money. This keeps the accounting really simple.

Not sure I understand the question – ads are configured in the repost site dashboard at https://secure.repost.us/ if you install and register the plugin you’ll get an email with a login automatically set to you.

Back catalog – is our shorthand for things you’ve already posted. Basically Repost picks up articles the first time somebody loads the page after the Repost button is installed. For new content that means we’ll pick it up almost immediately. For older content we gradually pick it up as the pages get looked at – very old content that is accessed infrequently may take months before somebody loads it.

You can speed this up by loading each of your old articles in turn.

Each page will get ingested individually – the best way to get your “back catalog” pages ingested is to just load them once.

Regarding your home page is it a “page” in wordpress? Right now we only support posts not pages, we will be making pages an option in future version of the plugin.

Sorry I missed the url – see my edit above.

Regarding widgets – you can put the button anywhere you like using the shortcode shown on the config page. However keep in mind that on a multi article page (blog page) each button needs to refer to a specific article so putting it in the sidebar doesn’t make sense because the user has no way of knowing which article they are asking to embed.

Ah – See your site url now – missed it the first time – your site is working.

A couple of things might cause a button to now show up – #1 is cache plugins, clearing the cache normally fixes that. The other main cause is we intentionally suppress the button if we haven’t got the page in our system yet. Typically this takes less than 60 seconds and then any subsequent page loads will show the button.
