Okay, I can help out a little here. It’s nothing to do with Ubuntu/Linux, but appears to be more related to the installation or configuration of Firefox 3 under Ubuntu. I’m running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex & have the same problem…
Now, when I use Opera instead, everything works like a charm. And snappy too I must say!
If I find a solution to this one, I’ll post it up for you all… maybe someone else has, but I haven’t found it yet.
