then why even bother updating if they are not responsible

I have had wordpress sites for years hosted on godaddy. Never an issue until now. I am sure they want to develop secure software but if this is a fact and it is accessing the wp core software, then they better be developing an update. sucuri is showing no virus but wordfence scan is with the infected files.

It does not matter is if I install a backup of my sites, it still replicates. I suggest checking out wordfence and scan your sites if you have any.

So wordpress is not responsible to ensure their code is secure?

go to your facebook account and once logged in enter your URL here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug It will tell you why it is not posting.

mine was og:image and od:author that was incorrect so I saw that you could turn that off in Yoast SEO. Worked fine after that https://www.freightbybus.com is the site I fixed it on.

I fixed it. Are you using Yoast SEO by chance?

If it was running fine, the posts would show up on facebook and they are not. I am trying to see what is fine about this not posting?
