Thank you — figured I should ask and not just post!

This is also an issue on the category pages (I did open a separate thread about that but it was closed).

On the category pages, only “next” appears but it goes to previous page.

It was suggested I try with another theme, and I did. The problem is on the default theme, too, so I really suspect this has to do with the upgrade.

Help!

<?php link_pages('<p><strong>Pages:</strong> ', '</p>', 'number'); ?> is in page.php already but has never been in index.php

I have the original file from the original theme ??

Ok, I replaced the index.php page and that does not fix the issue. So, it’s not coding in that page for some reason …. I’m thinking the recent upgrade from 2.02 to 2.3.2 did this, yet I upgraded other sites with the same script to the current one and it did not break

I don’t want to bump this but still need a little assistance please.

As I said, if I go to /page/anything, the back link works fine, so somehow I broke the “next page” link

It’s uhm for adults over age 21 only and hasn’t opened to the public yet … if there is a way for me to get you the link without posting it in public, I will (nudity, no hardcore sex).

I’ve never had a feed spit out such freaky code.

Just looking at the feed, that’s what I see for most posts. So take out the exporting it to another blog out of the equation — looking at the feed, it’s full of broken code like that above.

Fresh install of 2.3.1 …. And I deactivated all plugins and ran the feed again just to see if a plugin was the issue, but even with all plugins deactivted (even Akismet), it still gave that freaky code above.

Well, there were no issues until I tried to run WP-Autoblog so I’d say that’s the problem and the plugin isn’t compatible.

So, I’m back to square one of no way to replicate posts to another blog.

Thanks — I installed it fine, did an update and it brought over 10 posts. Just 10 … then I tweaked it a bit and 21 more came over.

However, I edited 2 posts with more text/changed text and updated, and it did not update on the duplicate blog.

Is there a secret to get it to update changed text?

(I have 40 posts with no text and will be adding it in little by little and need to bring those over once they change)

Well, it wasn’t lack of manners, it’s frustration at having a broken website and having no patience to wait for a response.

Since I’m already on some blacklist for bumping it, may as well do it again in the hopes of a response.

You may want to put index files in your directories as I was able to access many of them.
