In case this happens to you, it turned out to be a surprising issue. I had two blockquote paragraphs abutting each other with no text separating them. I removed the blockquotes and my sidebar widgets reappeared!

If you Hosting service is Dotster, you may try also changing your DB_HOST. Dotster is one of the few where this must be changed.

did you manually configure the config.php or did you try the automatic method?

I placed it back in the sidebar of https://www.conservativefirefighters.com

I had it in the sidebar, but when it wouldn’t work (continuously loading), I simply dragged it from the sidebar. I didn’t deactive WP-Poll.

Thank you GamerZ. I tried double checking this, I must not be looking in the right place? In my WordPress settings, it reads https://conservativefirefighters.com, and in Poll Options it reads https://conservativefirefighters.com/pollsarchive.

Where do I find teh location of the https://www.conservativefirefighters.com?

Can’t access the WP-Admin either.

Also, a htaccess.txt file in my WP root was blank. Another WP support string said to delete it. I did, and nothing changed.

The same thing happened to me, and my host provider said I have a virus. I’m trying to get it fixed now, but not sure how.

My host said it was a virus. I should be back up soon.

First install I allowed WP to go to the WP-config database setup screen automatically. The second time I entered the info manually. Same results?

the wp-content and upload folders are set to 777. I compared to the sites that are working and they have the same settings.

I tried unchecking and checking date, time, etc. in the Settings, Miscellaneous area.

I tried manually entering the url path to the upload folder.

This really is strange?
