Actually, scrub my topic. I’ve just discovered that it was the iQ Block Country plugin that was at fault, not all in one seo.

At the top of the dashboard (above the 404 detection box) you’ll see the words: All | Recommended | Advanced

Click on advanced, and then go to hide backend.

Thanks for the eventual reply from the author. My issue was not getting a reply from the author, and having some kind of secretary constantly reply

So….you’re just a concerned citizen??? lol. As what you have described as your role, is the entire point of this support forum.

How about the developer just get off his lazy butt and read the forum “for his own plugin?”

Anyway, whatever dude. This is obviously a warning sign that this plugin has no real support, and no future.

In my case it’s 100% a plugin clash issue.

I’ve turned off all plugins except backupwordpress and it worked today.

I’ve had the same plugins for years, so it must be being caused by a recent update to another plugin I’m using.

I’ll get back to you when I find out which one is causing the chaos, as I have a lot of plugins to go through lol.

When I updated, in the settings, the “new tab option” was completely greyed out when I checked

Also, on the 1.4 update I did see the message: “The plugin woocommerce-improved-external-products/improved_external_prod.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist” , so perhaps this had something to do with it?

I see that on the update 1.4.1 the new tab option is available again. Whatever happened (error or backtrack) it seems to be ok now. Thanks.

Well, we’re getting there. It now runs on 2 out of 5 of my websites.

On the other 3, after clicking run now, it spins, says starting backup, runs for only 3 or 4 seconds before stopping and no backup is made (i use manual backup, backing up both files and database)

Sadly there is nothing either of us can do. There is no support here.

I’m going to start looking for a backup plugin that actually works

I tried your suggestion. I turned off both plugins. I activated IQ first, then I activated statpress second, but the same message appeared at the top of the plugin list page

It seems the website will only work with one plugin….. so I have the choice of using statpress but not IQ…. or IQ but not statpress, but not both ??

Was there a major change in the code in the updated version?

It’s never clashed with this plug-in previously, and I’ve used both plug-ins for a very long time.

Just tried it on another website. I got the message: server error 500.

I checked the error log and it appears to be clashing with my stats plugin called: StatComm (StatPress Community) Multisite Edition – version 1.7.70 | By WPGetReady
