In reply to: Missing formatting tools from admin and other toolsFWIW, I did manage to solve my issue with the SW plugin by following the directions on this page: https://warfareplugins.com/contact-us/
For a greyed out problem, here is what they say:
————
“Please go into the registration settings and click the Unregister Plugin button, then paste in your license key again and save. This should resolve the issue but let us know if that’s not the case.If your registration won’t save, try this:
(1) Go back to the registration screen and paste in the key, but DO NOT click the register button
(2) Instead, click the Save button at the top
(3) Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and let the entire plugins list load
(4) Go back to the registration tab and your license should be active”
————–FWIW, my registration wouldn’t save the first time so I hit the back button and started to follow the instructions given but as soon as I refreshed the page it was registered again and the plugin was working.
Also, from what I can tell, their main problems have been related to upgrading and updating a particular version of the plugin. They screwed up and have sent a bunch of emails, etc. apologizing. The functionality, at least for me, is still as good as it ever was. Just need it to work! Well, it seems to be working for me again now. Maybe this will help someone else, too.

In reply to: Missing formatting tools from admin and other toolsMy Social Warfare is all greyed out, too. Yoast is fine though. SW is a good plugin usually, but with a recent update, they had some issues. If anyone finds a fix please let us know!
Thanks so much! I will head over there soon.
By the way, you have officially joined my “Favorite Dev” list along with Tom Usborne of GeneratePress. You and Tom do what you do so well while also taking the time to be helpful, patient, and kind with the community. It’s appreciated.

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] Change Color in Shortcode?Ya, sorry. I had not found an answer that was clear to me in the support threads. Blame it on my ignorance. My theme *does* apply the default color to the icons. I am trying to *change* the color in certain circumstances. Seeing as how the size can easily be changed inside of the shortcode, I wondered if the color could, too. So, I asked how I could do this or if I needed to style it with CSS. I’ve moved on from this plugin but will assume CSS is needed to get the job done if I ever come back.

In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Facebook Share Image? Thanks for getting back to me. I look forward to your implementation. I’m going down that list and so far some of the plugins that might have worked seem to be out of development or have other issues. I’ll get through the list, though, and one way or another, I’ll figure it out. : )
Thanks for your time and your work!

In reply to: How Did Michael Hyatt Create This Shareable Images Page?Hi Michael!
Thanks for getting back to me. Much appreciated. I am part of a handful of author and podcaster groups on Facebook and people regularly ask how to do a shareable images page. When I point them to yours and ask, “Like this?” they all say, “YES! Exactly like that.” Make that a plugin and you’ll be making a lot of people who are not able to change their theme very happy (including me!).
Either way, though, thanks again. I appreciate your time.

In reply to: How Did Michael Hyatt Create This Shareable Images Page?I’ve already done that. I know it’s not always easy for him to get back to people, so I thought I would ask here in case someone more knowledgeable than I (most people when it comes to WordPress!) might have an idea.
Thanks for the tip, though.

In reply to: [Ninja Forms - The Contact Form Builder That Grows With You] Remove asteriskHi! If you are asking how to remove the asterisk from the required fields, I think I can help you. Go to Forms > Settings > Labels. Delete the text in the Required Field Label and Required Field Symbol areas. That should get rid of the asterisk and the message telling people what the asterisk means. Personally, I’d also change the the next field (Error message given if all required fields are not completed) to something like “Please ensure all fields are completed.”
Having done this, if the fields in your form are still set to “required” they will still be required and the user will be notified (with the above message) if they try to submit the form without filling out all the fields. The required fields should also be highlighted at that point.
Hope that helps!

In reply to: Images Cropped on Top and BottomThanks! Hopefully it will come along nicely. I know a lot of what I want to do, just not sure how the heck to do it! : ) It’ll come. Especially with help from folks like you. Much appreciated.

In reply to: Images Cropped on Top and BottomI don’t have any plugins. Just installed the theme moments before. By resolution, if you mean the dimensions, they are 400×546.

In reply to: Images Cropped on Top and BottomWell, I’m not entirely sure what I did to fix it. I changed the default “medium” size. I deleted and re-uploaded the image. Now it seems to be working.
Thanks for pointing me in a couple directions. If I have any other issues with this I will be back!
Thanks!

In reply to: Images Cropped on Top and Bottom1. It does looked cropped in the page editor.
2. In the Media Settings section, Thumbnail Size was 150 x 150 and the Crop button was checked. Medium is 300 x 300 and large is 1024 x 1024.
Maybe that has something to do with it?
