In reply to: How to get rid of the sidebar?I’m struggling to find the location of the .css file containing the correct information to edit. I think it’s the #content which seems to be set to 83% but don’t seem to be able to find it anywhere in the css files in wp-content/themes/albizia. I think I’ve looked through all the files there but can’t find anything. I could define internal style sheets in each php file but I’d like to set it globally if possible. Would you have any idea where I might find this please?
Thanks

In reply to: How to get rid of the sidebar?I did try albizia theme options – column layout which removed the sidebar from its usual location, but everything that was in the sidebar just moved to just above the footer.
I think I did try removing those lines of code, but I did it while the sidebar was appearing at the bottom of the page. Doing it with columns set to two achieved it, thanks. I just need to adapt the css now. I assume it’s just the files in the css folder that need changing for that?
I don’t suppose you’d know why the sidebar would be appearing at the bottom of the page when I turn it off in theme options? I’ve left the site for the time being as I think playing with css is a job for tomorrow.
I’ve just thought of a couple of other (hopefully quick!) questions if you have time to answer them, if not I can start another thread for them.
When users are logged in there’s a bar across the top of the page with a link to dashboard, add new post etc. and text in the far right saying Howdy, Rob (or whatever the user is called). I’d like to be able to change the text to say Hi instead of Howdy if possible but can’t find any options for it anywhere and don’t really want to go hacking wordpress code without knowing what I’m doing.Secondly I’d like to add a login button similar to the one in the sidebar at the moment to just below the header. Would you know where I can find code to copy to do this, or know the html for the input boxes and submit button?
Thanks for your help

The site is https://eucc.org.uk
The current theme is Albizia which can be found here: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/albizia

In reply to: Random Header ImageI’ve managed to make the header images rotate using the rotator.php here https://www.jakeldaily.com/wordpress-rotating-header-images-no-plugins/ (though not with each page load which is a little annoying but I can live with it), but I’m still stuck with the front page issue. Does anyone have any more info about how I might achieve this please?
Thanks

OK, I’m using Albizia at the moment. Is it easiest to try to find a theme which will do what I want (is one likely to exist, and if so does anyone have any tips for searching through the hundreds of themes?) or try to hack the current one to get it to do what I want?
