  • +1+1+1 >> I am experiencing the same issue – the calculation is not saving. Github.com > 42916 should be reopened.

    This is ridiculous, not only is the formula no longer saving, it has wiped out all the formulas previously configured for shipping classes! Now the cliff drop in revenue in December starts to make sense.

    Business is hard to come by as it is, having an unreliable framework to build on is even worse and is costing more loss of business and loss of confidence in the woo platform.

    Please, treat this issue as a priority to fix given that you don’t recommend roll backs, yet release half baked updates! “Might be” is far from confidence inspiring.

    perhaps I was not clear in my last message. I can confirm that the PHP error is still present after a new scan, following the user.ini file and plugin configuration being reverted to their original state.

    Now that the configuration is back to original state, the scan also reveals the public file warning, and so the file is readable via the path loaded through a browser session, but we had proved that already previously, which I why I moved the file to a different directory.

    What I did not notice at the time is that I had two separate issues, the public file warning being one and the PHP error being the second, I then assumed that the change to address the first issue had a knock on effect, but I am now pretty certain these are not connected.

    Would it help to share the code/script of the file that is being referenced? Line 222 is at the end of a script snippet, but I’m unsure as to its function.

    I can confirm that placing the user.ini file in its original location and reconfiguring the path in the plugin which uses it has had no effect on the PHP error I originally reported, therefore I must assume that the time of this change and then noticing the error in WF scan was co-incidental.

    This puts me back at square one, being non the wiser what is causing this error to occur.

    I understand your points, thank you. I will look into whats required to achieve the desired outcome.

    I have reverted the configuration back to what it was, so the warning has returned (linked below), you can see why I reacted since marking it as critical is a pretty strong prompt. https://www.gkauthentic.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Capture-1.png

    Anyway, will wait for the next scan to complete to see if the PHP error is still present or not, then see how to address public visibility of the file wihtout changing the dir.

    thank you for the prompt response.

    I’m somewhat confused, on the one hand WF firewall scan creates a warning that the user.ini file is located in a public directory and should be moved for security reasons. Then once it is moved another warning (which I shared) is raised, which you are telling me is as a result of moving the file the WF scan recommended moving?

    Thank you. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to troubleshoot this issue.

    For completeness, I can report that the problem appears to have resolved itself! The instance has gone through one WP Update + one Theme update in this time. Plugins have remained the same throughout.

    I have recently refunded 2 orders (exactly the same process and payment process applies) and in both cases the action completed the PP refund AND changed the order status to refunded AND issued the email to the customer.

    thanks, that’s really good to know and this product limitation is really rather important! I was about to pull the trigger on this as the scheduled backups to cloud storage is very attractive, but I think I’ll stick with WP All In One backups for now and keep doing periodic manual backups and download those offsite.

    So in essence, the free version of this plugin is a file level backup only, the equivalent of downloading your files offsite via FTP/sFTP, with the notable exception of the core WP files. If I had to go to file level to grab files, why wouldn’t I download the whole directory at the same time and have a complete file level backup? What is the value here I must ask?

    To attain restore/migration level backups, you must buy the premium version, plus the FTP add-on? So the bare minimum cost of this product is Premium + FTP add-on…

    Rather disappointing practice by the developer not to be upfront in all regards with their product. I really do not see how attempting to hook customers into their products is viable long term.

    I’m afraid I have not had the time to troubleshoot this problem any further yet. I can only confirm that it was not a one off as the behaviour is consistent in my instance.

    What was interesting to see is that an email report/notification is sent to the customer when the refund is actioned, but when the order status is manually set to refunded, a second email report/notification is generated and sent to the customer.

    I will attempt to troubleshoot as soon as its possible to do so. It doesn’t help that the environment is live with no staging environment available to to the troubleshooting on.

    Sorry for bumps. Makes sense with respect to post filtering.

    I will have to check this but it may take some time.

    I don’t follow the argument about data being passed to search console? Other data is flowing and is captured by Search console fine. I am using the Cloudflare CDN (reverse proxy) service but have not noticed a change (e.g. validation still fails) when this is disabled/dev mode, when checking previously.

    Will revert once tested with a different theme.

    Your issue “may” be related to MIME checks that were introduced a while back for security reasons. To my knowledge there isn’t an easy workaround without the help of a plugin AND you certainly do not want to disable MIME in code for security reasons.

    The way I current get around the issue is by using the “Disable Real MIME Check” plugin in my instance. I have this installed and “disabled” most of the time, I only enable it when I want to upload a CSV with modified product data into my instance. Once enabled, the upload function works, then I just disable the plugin until the next time I need it.

    It’s a workaround, and you get site health messages telling you to remove disabled plugins, but that’s an annoyance I have to live with until a better solution is proposed/employed.
