I will give this a go as I’d rather not be loading Jetpack in addition to everything else.

Given it’s good practice to use a child theme, and that Woo Themes recommends it for alterations, would it be possible to update or add information about using a child theme with Storefront and WooCommerce to the support pages?

The info that’s on there refers to Canvas and has no reference to enqueue_style.

I’ve used child themes with other themes and never had to use enqueue_style so in that respect it is an unusual requirement and I think should be highlighted – or the theme code changed of course to make it work in the standard way ??

1. This word fine so long as the link is written in full in the manual excerpt – you were right about the screen options too ??

2. I have Advanced Excerpt but when I use it with your plugin, it doesn’t seem to work. I’ll contact the plugin developer to see if it can be sorted.

3. Thanks for the info re the function – happy to do that but think I don’t want that throughout the site – will give it further thought.

In the meantime am using the manual excerpt approach.

Thanks for the fix @saurabhkumarvaish BUT once the widget didn’t work, and despite it working now, I can’t see all events either as a list or as a calendar view. – all I get is a load of incomplete code – any thoughts?
