Apologies, but we don’t have recent reports on this issue.
Could you please validate if the problem is maybe part of a conflict with another plugin as well (sometimes there’s more than one plugin causing the problem).Let’s check if it is an existing conflict:
– Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.
– Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.
– If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.Note: a full website backup is encouraged before checking for conflicts.

We have some reports, but it has not been consistent.

This is an existing issue and was already reported by another client. I’ll add a note to the bug report making reference to this forum thread.
We received a support ticket and answered back, but the email never reached the destination.

You can translate your titles and descriptions into another language if you “copy” the gallery, adjust the text, and use that Gallery instead for the page in another language.
WPML includes an option to translate our titles and descriptions but is a paid plugin: https://wpml.org/documentation/wpml-core-and-add-on-plugins/translating-nextgen-gallery-using-wpml/
