In reply to: Sizing images for slideshowsThat was my first mistake. I presumed that the images were of the same size because I downloaded them from the same source/supplier/site. So clearly I’m not using a single dimension. Won’t do THAT again. So…can they be re-sized in iPhoto or can I resize them all in the WP Media Library?
And before I forget, thanks for replying.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] 2.9 blocking postsSwitching to the Visual Editor before publishing did nothing to help me. Deselecting the proofread option in Edit My Profile did the trick, for now. Prior to that, I encountered this problem on Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome. I don’t use Internet Exploder, so I can’t speak to that.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] 2.9 blocking postsWell, when enough users delete Jetpack altogether, maybe they’ll listen to that.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] 2.9 blocking postsHi Scott–
Tried that, no joy. The only thing that works here so far is deactivating the plugin completely.

In reply to: Post won't publishFound the culprit…it’s Jetpack. Specifically, Jetpack 2.9.
/ Jetpack wants to connect the user imblacknitravel at imblacknitravel.com to imblacknitravel at WordPress.com. /
My blog isn’t on wordpress.com; it’s on GoDaddy. Is there a way to resolve this conflict?

In reply to: Post won't publishThank you, esmi. Deactivating all the plugins did the trick. Will now work my way back through the to find the culprit.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Update crashThanks, Tara. I just deleted the Social Connect plugin altogether and I’m back in business. I’ll reinstall it, or a different version of the same plugin that I can confirm is compatible with WP 3.8.1. Thanks for your help. You’re the best.

In reply to: Template help@wpfo…that did it. It all looks as it should now. Many thanks to you and WPyogi!
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Template help1) Go into “Customize”
2) Change Layout to “Grid”
3) Click “Save & Publish”Did all that. Clearly where I’m going wrong is with the use of the tag. How do I tag a post so that it appears in the grid? Do I tag it with the word “grid?” Or do I tag it in a different way? What do I put in the Tag box that enables Twenty Fourteen to find the post and place it in the grid?

In reply to: Template helpThanks for pointing me to the instructions, but I’m missing some steps. Went into Featured Content and changed Layout to “Grid,” but no luck getting a grid layout to actually appear. Can anyone help?

In reply to: Quick Cache plugin update crashes my siteIs this a good reason to consider changing hosts?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Quick Cache plugin update crashes my siteI went into wp-content and deleted the Quick Cache folder and all the files therein. Got my site back. But anyone tell me why this happened in the first place?
Thanx.
