In reply to: Splash Page vs Index.phpWhat I ended up doing was copying the wp folder to a new folder for a new sub-domain and have the splash page where the original sub-domain was and not I can link to the blog.
I had to go into WP and make sure that the permalink got saved though.

In reply to: RSS Feed is broke / SuggestionsAs of this writing, it would seem that “unplugging” and going back to vanilla, fixed it.
I think.. sticking all the plugins at the same time.. most likely corrupted something.. Will just go slowly.
Do you know if there a way that I can force an update to the feed?
thanks again.

In reply to: RSS Feed is broke / SuggestionsHi there Tara – thanks for the reply – well… it was broken?
I turned all the plugins off and there still was still a poorly rendered feed page. I walked away for a couple hours and reset the theme back to the back one and then the feed started to work.
So, [lol] I am slowly turning things back on and checking the feed with the validator site.
It was odd, Firefox would show no problem, but Chrome and IE would show problems and I think I was also suffering from cached browser information?
I suppose, my direct question before I post another false alarm. Is there a way that I can force an update to the feed?
Sorry, but that didn’t help. Any other suggestion?

In reply to: Using Democracy to create image pollsI tried this plug in, but WP 2.6 kept telling me there was a newer version, would update it and then deactive the plugin. Any ideas?

In reply to: Post Management PluginPerfect! Thanks for the assist on this one.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Post Management PluginI suppose I didn’t clarify that very well. All of the posts are now in WP, but the categories that I used in b2 are old and of date. I have created new categories and for the most part. The subject will tell me what new category to put them in. So, I am looking for an easy way to move from the old category to the new category without having to edit each post and change the category.
thanks for the reply

In reply to: Post ManagementI got this plugin and it works. I just wish that it wouldn’t change the category each time and would allow you to make the changes and then press ‘submit’

In reply to: Yahoo / WordPress Issues – & SupportTo close on this, I would like to thank Michael for stating that Bluehost.com was getting better reviews and since I have made the move, so far there has been no issues, installation, setup, modifications, emails for comments and registration has been working out of the box.

In reply to: Yahoo / WordPress Issues – & SupportHi there Michael,
The widgets are just me modifying the sidebar manually.
I am not entirely sure why yahoo has it setup like that, but each time I try to get any help, they refer me to WP. (sigh) It seems to work though;
blog – podcast
blog1 – my blogI have seen those entries as well, some of the fixes were to modify the actual scripts (I think) , which I can do, but I am not a PHP or MYSQL coder and just my luck. I will change something and it will impact something else.
Thanks again for checking out things and trying to help out.
I see as of today that WP has removed Yahoo from thier list of ‘Hosts’ (sigh)
