Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Admin Access Problem after updating WordPress1. I have already changed the theme by adding “-old” to the current’s theme file name via FTP – Check (the site will no longer show up)
2. I have reset the plugin by renaming and adding “.hold” to the plugin folder – Check (plugins deactivated and I can no longer see Slimstat above)
3. Uploaded all files and folder via FTP except the wp-content folder – Checkup to this point, accessing the wp-admin still gives me the same error message.
How do I run the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php?

How do I re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress using FTP?
Do I have to install WordPress again and then upload the files?
