Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks Tobias.
And I am assuming here that TablePress cannot work directly with mySQL (inferred from other threads, since TablePress is based on Posts?), so I would have to look for another (maybe custom) solution for this, right?
Thanks again for a great plugin.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Large Number of Large TablesHi Tobias,
Just thought of an alternative, and would like your opinion if this would work with TablePress.
Since 99% of the tables are identical, i.e., same column headings, same # of columns, etc., have an index column for the table no., but literally then there would be millions of rows in the same table.
Would TablePress be able to work with that?
Thanks,
ganaxi

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Auto Update Extension – ErrorHi Tobias,
Thanks. That’s exactly what it was. I installed a fresh download, and I was able to see the options, and get it to work. Thanks!

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Auto Update Extension – ErrorHi Tobias,
My apologies. I guess I did not list above all of the steps I had taken, as clearly as I should have.
So, this is exactly what I did:
1. Select Import from the TablePress menu.
2. Select “File on server” and enter the “Server Path to file”
3. Select Import Format as “XLSX”
4. Select “Replace Existing Table” and indicate the Table to be replaced.
5. Go to the bottom section, and click the appropriate option for “Perform Auto Update” pull-down selection (picked hourly)
6. Click “Save Auto Import Configuration” at the bottom of the pageResult: I get the error, “Error: The Auto Import configuration could not be saved.”
As an alternative, when just clicked “Import” after step 4, it imported fine.
Best,
Ganaxi
Thanks for your response.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Slideshow of Table ContentsHi Tobias:
Thanks for your response. Although that maybe a bit outside the scope of my capabilities right now, it gives me an excellent direction on how to do it, and maybe I can get it done myself or with some expert help.

Hi Tobias,
the links are an easy fix, using even without the extension. I understand then that any more extensions I add to my site will only work with the TablePress Tables.
In that case, is TablePress better equipped to handle a larger data set. I am thinking here not just of eliminating WP-Tables if it is able to, but more so, adding 8x the data the plugin already handles by adding archive quarters.
If it is not able to right now, are there any plans to do so? Or can you think of a similar elegant or slightly-less-than-elegant solution for my archives that will need to handle 8-16x the data that WP-Tables and TablePress are handling together right now?
Also, in the link,
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/limits-to-tablepress/page/2?replies=54#post-4669360you say, “I added a code change to TablePress, that results in much less PHP memory being used on the “All Tables”, “Import”, and “Export” screens.
The dev version is available at https://tablepress.org/downloads/tablepress-dev.zip
With that, it should be possible to have much more tables in TablePress, without running into memory limits.”Is that still the location, or have you rolled it into the current version? Also, how do I change to new version. With the large number of tables I have, I want to absolutely certain that I do it the right way. Can I just delete the plugin? and then add the new one? Will that destroy any extension connections or other modifications I have made, with your help, to make TablePress and WP-Tables work together.
Best,
Ganaxi

Hi, an update,
I ran my page through a Markup Validation, and a specific error, below, may be an indication of the problem:
Error Line 981, Column 120: No space between attributes.

Hi, an update,
I did manage to download the wp-ui.php file from GitHub, and upload it to my server. However, even with that new file, the tabs do not auto-rotate.
Any directions on how to fix this would be appreciated, including especially on the earlier comment about IE display problems, as in here,
https://www.gurufundpicks.com/trial-home-pageHi Kavingray,
Thanks for the plugin. Overall, it works great. But a couple of issues. First, it does not work in IE, as I pointed out in an earlier comment today, and I am not able to implement the fix suggested in the thread as I can’t find that line in the code.
Second, it does not autorotate. I downloaded from the link above, and attempted to install the zip file, but I got a fatal error, as follows,
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class wpui in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1346/testgfp/wp-content/plugins/kavingray-wp-ui-e62f478/wp-ui.php on line 45Please help.
