Maybe older versions ignore whatever is causing the problem and the newest version does not. Unless we look we can’t tell you what exactly is causing the issue.

    Solution?

    1. Don’t skip time slots.

    2. Make sure all your start and end days match.

    3. If your shows go into midnight be sure to end at 11:59 pm and then add the same from midnight.

There are two possible reasons for this problem.

    1. You failed to enter an event/show for each hour of the day. For example; if there’s no live host or show between 1 pm & 2 pm on any day, don’t skip it in the schedule. Instead, “TBD” or anything you like for that hour, the same rule applies whether you have a 15 minute, 30 minute or 60 minute window between programming.
    2. The start day and end day do NOT match. E.g. Your show starts on Sunday but it ends on Monday.

Since we don’t know what changes you’d like to make we didn’t make any changes to your current schedule. However, the problem you’re facing is noted below.

This is your current end-of-day schedule for Sunday.

    10:00 pm – 10:30 pm: SU
    10:30 pm – 11:00 pm: WIP
    11:00 pm – 11:30 pm: LP
    11:30 pm – 12:00 am: SCR

If you want to add a show at 22:00-23:59. You must delete all of the above.

You must also end the last show of the day at 23:59 and then begin the new day at 00:00 (even if it’s a continuation of the same show) for example Monday: 9:00 pm – 12:00 am: A & A.
Should be Monday: 9:00 pm – 11:59 pm: A & A and then Tuesday: 12:00 am – 3:00 am: ARN and so on.

You can’t do this: Tuesday: 9:00 pm to 12:00 am and then Wednesday: 12:00 am to 3:00 am

Must be: Tuesday 9:00 pm to 11:59 pm and then Wednesday: 12:00 am to 3:00 am and so on…

Try it as exampled above and let us know if you’re still having issues.

First of all, we prefer you don’t add anything directly to the database. Doing so can cause damage. Second, the problem is as we mentioned above. You can send us temp admin login we’ll fix it.

This issue occurs when the start day and the end extend to a different day for one show it breaks the widget. For example, you have a show at 12 pm Sunday, but it ends 2 pm Monday. Look through your schedule and clear these up the issue will be fixed. See the sample in the image.

It seems like there’s an error in your timeline which wasn’t flagged in v5.6.6 but must have been fixed in the newest version and so it’s now being flagged causing your schedule to break. Send us temp admin and will fix it so your schedule won’t break when using the newest version. send to support-at-ganddservices-dot-com

We’ve updated the readme with more screenshots and updated instructions that will fix the widget issue. IF you follow those instructions and still have issues let us know. We’ll be happy to assist.

Sometimes it’s difficult to spot errors, so look carefully.

After looking at a users backend we found two issues which caused their widget to not work correctly

The user didn’t set WP time format to military/24 hour clock (H:i)

Their schedule overlapped from one day to the next for example the user had Sunday 10:00 pm – 12 am: “Show Name”

Instead of: Sunday 10:00 pm – 11:59 pm: “Show Name” then Monday 12:00 am – 5:00 am: “Show Name,” even if it’s the same show. JOAN expects the day to end at 11:59 and the new day to begin at 00:00.

Again if you sent us access we’ll check your site, but if you didn’t or you experience this problem with the widget check your time format and go over your schedule.

Since it’s working normal for others and the problem is only for some users the above is the most likely cause. But it’s okay, we’ve made those same mistakes on our test sites too.

    Another thing to note, if in creating your schedule you overlap the day the widget will run into the same problem. For example, if you create your schedule like this;

Sunday 10PM – 12AM Quiet music the widget will load in correct timeslots if you do this through your whole schedule the widget may jump a day ahead. (If you created your schedule this way try redoing it according to the below).

You must create your schedule this way (because the day ends at 11:59 PM a new day begins at 00:00 as far as JOAN is concerned)

    Sunday 10PM – 11:59PM or Sunday 10PM – Monday 12AM

See our screenshots on the details page. Anyone who sent us login info we’ll redo your schedule for you don’t worry.

This isn’t to say that our initial statement on the cause of the timezone/widget issue is incorrect. It only means that there are two reasons why the problem occurs.

    Hi all

We have found the cause of this issue, working on the solution. We have a temporary fix but it causes WordPress site health to complain, we’d rather find a permanent fix for both issues. We ask for your patience.

    Thanks

JOAN expects you to use every hour and not skip so you can’t do 6 – 8 then add 10 – whatever, skipping 9 o’clock. Doing so will break the widget, see screenshots 2, 5 and 6. if this isn’t the problem or you feel it’s something else. Please send us temp logins with admin access to your respective backends. To support-at-ganddservices.com

Unfortunately whenever we upgrade the plugins to meet WP requirements it’s always possible something may break. We apologize for the inconvenience in any case. If you do not want to allow us to take a look at your WP backend, you may revert to an earlier working version until we fix the issue.
