Q. A suggestion. Can the image shown on “On Air Now” be underneath the show time, rather than alongside?

A. JOAN expects the image to be at least 250px to 300px wide anything smaller and the time gets aligned left of the image. Try a wider image.

Concern: It seems that shows cannot be deleted in the latest update, and while the full week schedule listing displays correctly, the ‘On Air Now’ does not.

Hi guys we’re working this issue, once you upgrade to WP 5.5 something changes which breaks JOAN we’re close to a fix should be a couple of days. keep on the look out for an update.

You welcome. You should consider switching to JOAN Premium there are lots more features available and coming soon.

I have raised the request with the developers but since it wasn’t in the plans for the current update they’re finishing it won’t be part of this release, but hopefully the next one (no ETA). This is a feature we’ll only add to the premium version of JOAN just so you know.

You could try as a temporary work around you can deactivate JOAN, set your timezone to UTC as requested by WordPress then perform the site status check and fix any issue raised by Site Health. Now that your site status is Good.

Re-activate JOAN and change your timezone to local (city, state or country). There should be no more complaints from WordPress Health status for a while.

At this time this issue has only been fixed in the premium version of JOAN. We will fix it in the free version as well but I don’t have a timeline for that yet.
I’m sorry about that, I will speak with the developers to see how far away the next update is.

If you modified any part of the code there’s no telling how it will behave.

My advice is reinstall the original version try again.

Joan is meant to inherit your Theme’s CSS.

To do this you’ll need to make your image smaller than your sidebar 100px by 100px

When adding images sometimes the File URL field fails to automatically popular with the image URL in such a case you need to click the File URL button before clicking “insert into post.” Again you only need to do this if the file URL field is empty after you have selected the image you want to use.
