All resolved. I spoke to Elmastudios who produce the Zuki theme and they told me to insert a small bit of css code as follows:

.widget_twitter_timeline iframe {
width: 1px !important;
min-width: 100% !important;
}

I’ve reverted back to TwentyFifteen but of course the widgets sidebar appears in a different place so it is impossible to make a comparison.

I think I’ll contact the Zuki theme helpline and see if they’ve had the issue before.

I tried the easy twitter feed plug in but couldn’t get it to work.

I’ve also tried different widths for the twitter widget but this seems to make no difference.

Could it be an issue with the theme I’m using?

I tried it but as I suspected, it made no difference.

The odd thing is that I am using the same theme (Zuki) for another site garbocc.co.uk and the twitter timeline works fine on that site when I view it on ipad yet on gilburtandpaul.co.uk the twitter timeline ‘cuts off’ on the ipad.

I did notice that i have a bit of simple custom css code on the garbocc.co.uk site that I must have inserted although I can’t remember what for. I just wonder if I had the same problem before and whether I used that bit of code to resolve it. Here’s the code. Maybe you’ll be able to identify what it is doing:

I have the jetpack plugin. Are you suggesting I activate the mobile responsive theme on it? I’m not sure how this will help – the problem that I have is when I view my site on an ipad…

Ideally yes although I don’t mind being able to to click on a tab on a menu bar as long as it’s clearly labelled News.

Yes, I see what you mean. I think I may have to abandon using Resonar and find another theme.

What I like about Resonar is it’s simplicity, elegant typography and clean menu bar across the top. I may use the Zuki theme which I use on another website. Maybe there is another theme that you may be able to suggest? A big picture (with slider if possible) at the top, a widget side bar for new posts and a menu bar across the top are all essential for the site that I need to put together.

My phone is too old to load on Firefox or chrome so I’m sure that’s the problem – the fact that it’s too old. Although I don’t understand why it works on your colleagues. I’ve tried it on a newer Samsung phone and it works fine…
Did you have any thoughts on the ellipsis/widget issue?

Landscape – no menu icon and does not re-size – you’ll see that the words and picture are chopped off and there is no menu icon…

Regarding the elipsis/widget issue i have no coding skills so I think that may be beyond me but i’ve thought of a possible solution – can I change the elipsis from the three dots and simply make it another word in the menu bar that says ‘News’? (because all that I want to show in the widget/sidebar area is a list of all the news stories (posts)).

Hope that you can help with both issues.

Yes java script is enabled. I’ve done screen shot and I’m just figuring out how to get it to you. It just has resonar White panel at top but with no menu icon.

One more question on the same theme:
Is there a way of having the recent posts widget not as a widget under the elipsis, but as a menu under the top menu bar ie the top menu bar would have ‘recent posts’ as an entry with a drop down listing all the recent posts?
