OK. All good. I moved all the files in my ‘subdirectory’ folder up to the htdocs (root) folder and then deleted all the old site files after having zipped them up in an ‘oldsite.zip’ file for emergency back up which sits alongside the new files. Used the Velvet Blues updater to restore links. Had to restore a couple of links by hand.

I’m finally ready to move files over. Do I move all of the files in my subdirectory to the root level, ie the whole subdirectory folder, or just the index.php and htaccess files as you describe above?

still waiting for a response from Zuki. In the meantime I went to upload a new theme and got the message ‘An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.’ This has come up several times but up to now I’ve ignored it because it still allows me to upload/change themes. But i wonder if this may be anything to do with my problem described above?

I downloaded the simple custom css, added the code, saved… but it hasn’t worked. I’m not sure why because it works for you. I’ll have to dig around and try something else.

Nooriq. Thanks for your reply. I’m pretty new to WordPress. I simply pasted that bit of code into the edit css window under appearance. Have I put it in the correct place? I was surprised that there was no other code for Zuki in there apart from the WordPress welcome.

I have the same problem with Zuki.

I pasted in the code but my logo is still over to the left…???

The other big problem I have with Zuki is that I cannot get any pictures to appear on my front page. I’ve spent a whole day trying to get it to work. Nooriq – did you have this problem?
