By updating the WooCommerce product settings to remove the default value to ‘no default gold carat‘ and ‘no default stamped or hallmarked‘ this seems to fix the problem with the drop down. Thank you for all your help.

I carried out a plugin conflict. The plugin that causes the dropdown to restyle ‘Advanced Custom Fields PRO’, if I disable it fixes the problem, although does change the theme layout too much to disable, ignoring the fact we use the functionality of the plugin.

I have setup a staging site and swapped the theme to a default WordPress and the problem seems to go away. Swapping back to the DiCi theme and it reappears. I have not done a plugin conflict test yet, do you think it is still needed? I don’t know what to suggest regarding the theme causing the problem as it’s a basic variation drop down.

Apologies, I’ve just revisited the settings page and it is now showing higher versions. I’ve not changed any plugins, I just toggled to ‘use a kit’ and back to ‘use CDN’, and the new drop down list appeared. The icon is now working. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I’ve selected the latest version of font awesome, 6.1.1 in the drop down, but the Twitter X icon doesn’t show up. On their web page it shows (https://fontawesome.com/icons/x-twitter?f=brands&s=solid) ‘6.4.2’ – would this be the cause of the problem?

I managed to fix the problem – I deactivated all plugins and one by one reactivated. The cause was the other payment plugin I had installed

When we use the default PayPal payment system in Woo as shown in the payments section ‘PayPal’ the ‘pre-order’ plugin works.

When we install the WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway plugin to allow us to take debit card payments which changes the dark grey ‘pay’ button on the end user screen to the yellow paypal branded button the error occurs.

Is there a way of getting the CSS path to each individual hotspot -I wanted to add a different hotspot image to a couple of the points, but they all use the same image from the WordPress editor?

Found the answer, there is an ID and CSS text box to edit in editor.

Ideally I would have liked to swap the image on existing pins to another, but I used css to dim the icon
