Maybe I wrote the wrong thing–seeing @joestyer1’s comment, this is what happened to our site. It went down–I could not see it at all. I had to rollback to the previous version. I thought PHP errors were there too, I was getting a lot of random problems with the latest version. I cannot use 5.0 due to what it did to bring down our website.

I experienced the same thing just now. I had to rollback to the previous version. I don’t know what SG Optimizer did, but I cannot use Version 5.0. Thank you for posting this here, so I could verify what happened also happened to others.

I am so glad I ran across this thread of comments. It confirms exactly the fears I have regarding this unstable software product. On top of the difficulty of even trying to use Gutenberg (I tried!), it is clear that this software will harm our company’s website.

I have installed the Classic Editor plugin, but NOW I have enough information to actively push for a new website to be developed on some other platform that is not WordPress. There must be several other options, and it is time for an upgrade. This whole issue clearly shows me that “WordPress” is not the community it appears to present itself as.

@atomizer, Thank you for the link to the TinyMCE Advanced plugin! This is very helpful for me. I have already installed and activated it. Knowledge is Power!

@otto42 Thank you for your comments. I don’t spend a lot of time writing reviews here and certainly do not like writing within this text box, and I won’t spend a lot of time formatting my comments to fit your requirements. I don’t get paid to do this, and I certainly won’t do your job for you.

You, as a www.ads-software.com Admin, are a great example of exactly what some of the reviewers are complaining about. One reviewer even referenced your comments to my review with a link back to it (thank you, other reviewer). So, thank you for showing users and reviewers exactly what is wrong with WordPress and Gutenberg. Again, I am glad that I have already installed the stop-gap plugin for Classic Editor. Perhaps in several years when Gutenberg actually IS ready for people to use it, I’ll take another look.

In the meantime, as several reviewers are noting all the issues with Gutenberg and all the plugins that don’t work, including Yoast SEO, I’ll leave you to your work sifting through reviews to figure out what to fix. Best wishes for a good debut of Gutenberg. I hope many companies don’t wake up one day to find their sites broken, and a big mountain of work (and time and money) relearning processes to fit what WordPress and Gutenberg have foisted on them.

Thank you Xopher–I have been looking into this and these are the concerns I have. I don’t think WordPress is really ready with this AMP plugin. Even with the Yoast SEO glue additional plugin, it seems there are too many issues at this point. I plan to wait for future updates.
