    Thanks…

I found the re-set under advanced settings and got it working.

I figured it out… No Need to respond.

In case anyone else needs the solution, I figured I post here.

The following command in AWS – Lightsail – Bitnami will deactivate all Pluging.

    sudo wp plugin deactivate –all

Once deactivated, I could log in and fix my mistake.

I never found a solution. Maybe it is something with the latest version of Word{ress

    Thanks… for trying.

One more update.. In case anyone else responds.

I deleted the entire Instance on AWS and made a new one. It should be like it never existed. I then set WordPress up again. I updated to WordPress 6.0 and there were 9 plugins. I updated all of the plugins and then installed WP Reset.

Ran it again— and nothing was deleted except the users I created.

    Thanks for your help.

You are correct. I had a plugin that I could not delete manually. It was not activated and was asking to be updated. I updated it and then it was able to be removed.

I manually deleted all the plugins.

I reinstalled WP Reset and added 1 plugin and re-ran WP Reset. It still left the new plugin installed.

    Still trouble shooting…

I then had WordPress re-install within the site. That did not fix it. I then added a different Reset Plugin– Advanced WordPress Reset, that also failed to delete my plugins. I have logged out and back into the site–thinking it was a Cache or something.

Any ideas. I do not want to delete the AWS instance. I have the DNS, etc. set up

I will not bore you with the details…. evidently this is a common problem. There are multiple web pages dedicated to it and several plugins. It is an issue with the WordPress PHP mail() function. Non worked for me.

I finally stumbled across some instructions on my Mail Server site, and they developed a Zoho Specific plugin.

Thanks for all your help. You saved me several days of work.

    Joy,

    You are a lifesaver.

Using cPanel I renamed the wp-content/plugins folder to wp-content/pluginsDisable

That allowed me to log in. I could not find how to disable the the 2FA, so I created a new user with a different e-mail address (required different e-mail address) and gave it Admin Rights. I restored the folder name and was able to log in as the new Admin.

    I owe your a Drink ??

An other question— I deleted the original User and assigned all content to the new Admin User name. I logged out and was able to log in. I then changed the e-mail address to my normal e-mail address. It allowed me to “Update profile”

    I got the following:

If you change this, we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed.

It has been 15min, and I have not received the e-mail from WordPress to confirm it. I checked Junk/Spam. Any ideas? I can cancel the change and try again. I know it is typed correctly. Do you think it might just be slow?

THANKS for all your help. I would not have thought of that, and I did not find that as a suggestion when I was searching for a solution.
