In reply to: How to install MySQL tools after WordPress on a PC?Hi Jan,
The 1st link was useful – it helped me stumble on to the webmatrix database tools (doh!).
In installed instantwp (your 2nd link). That looks really promising, thanks!
Only question left is: How can you find the server host name be for a local PC? As asked by MySQL query browser for example?

In reply to: How to install MySQL tools after WordPress on a PC?I’m using Microsoft Webmatrix 3. I guess that’s the webserver. I assume it uses MySQL for WordPress.
Again this is all on my pc until the web design is finished.
I said above the purpose of the tools I need.”…tools to allow access to the database.” This means queries, table access, ability to backup/restore.
I had this a few years ago with a Joomla installation and it was nice. I seem to be running into a lot of issues now with WordPress though.

In reply to: How to install MySQL tools after WordPress on a PC?PS
One of the tools I tried was MySQL Administrator.
It asks for the server host and suggests port 3306.
I tried my local host URL, didn’t work. Tried various combos. How can you find what should the server host be for a local PC?

In reply to: Page Title out of control – help! One clue I found led me to install a new theme (Graphene). This allowed me to over ride the title problem.
Seems like there should be a more universal fix for this that works for most themes and does not involve coding.

In reply to: Page Title out of control – help!I wish there was an edit function on these posts sorry.
At some point the default page’s title (viewed in code) becomes the Site Title, and all other pages title are the page name | site title.

In reply to: Font Preview Plugin?Hello Pawel,
Thank you for the response. If I understand, your plugin is for changing text permanently on the site or posts. While this is cool, its not what I need. Let me try to be clearer.
I have a product personalization page for an eCommerce site.
The customer needs to be able to type a line of text and have it superimposed on the product they are looking to buy, and be able to “try out” different fonts. The changes they make will not be a change to element of the site, just a preview of what they are buying.I should have probably been clear about this at the start, sorry.
Have you got anything like that?
Thanks again.
