Thanks for providing such an useful tool to the WP community ?? Unfortunately, the plugin is not working for me. You have any insight into why it is not working on any of my sites? My themes and plugins are all WP. I’m using Easy Updates Manager default settings.

Installed the plugin twice. Although it was already installed and activated I kept getting this warning message :”Custom AMP plugin requires you to install and active the AMP plugin, download it from here.” I restored entire website from previous backup then downloaded plugin from www.ads-software.com. Installed and activated again. Same thing. Tried on another site. Ditto.

Ok James, thanks for your help ! I will keep deleting these readme. files. I manually do the WP updates and “immediately” go and check SUCURI… Can a hacker/ bot be doing this?

I’m not tech savvy… are these “wp-content/index.php” files really important (?) I wouldn’t want to mess up things! The weird thing is that RIGHT AFTER doing the WP update those changes have shown up on my SUCURI dashboard.

Thanks James for your prompt response and the guide. I will follow your recommendation. Do you think I should get rid of the readme. files as I’ve been doing (?) what about the “wp-content/index.php” , how do I add it back (?) I’ve always heard : “Don’t edit the core”. Thanks James!

I forgot to mention that this other file “wp-content/index.php” is automatically removed from some of my sites (?)

I’ll definitely give you a 5 star rating, again, but the WP.org interface is not allowing me to post my review. All I’m seeing is my previous 5star review and the “edit post” button. Refreshed the page… no change.

This is my review (please, let me know if it goes through):
I created my WP.org account just to give this plugin a 5 star rating. That was 2 years ago… I said it then and I’ll say it again, “this is without a doubt the most reliable of all my plugins”, and I run multiple sites in 2 different languages !

Thank you for your prompt response. I sent an inquiry to my server and according to their reply the Apache module mod_security was not blocking updraft plus. I realized then that the issue had to do with a plugin I had recently installed after my hosting account was hacked, “IP GEO BLOCK”. Some of its functions (on Beta test) were in conflict with “UPDRAFT PLUS”. The plugin developer fixed the issue right away. Today I was able to restore my sites with no problem… as always!

Hello Raamdev, thank you for your response. Some kind of bug was preventing me from uninstall the plugin from my WP dashboard (it was redirecting me to a white screen and not deleting). I had an old version that was sending me a warning message of “update or uninstall“. I had to delete the plugin from my c-panel and then install again. Thanks.
