  • Hi again,

    I can make a filter from this plugin.

    The WP Company Manager for WP Job Manager plugin is undergoing active development and is in the beta version.

    For more information on the workings of the plugin, I recommend contacting the developer here https://chat.smyl.es

    Hi @nyrjku,

    Thanks for reaching out, the problem as you describe may be happening because of some conflicts with other plugins or the theme installed on your site.

    Try disabling all of your plugins except Sensei LMS (and extensions). Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.

    If that doesn’t help, you can also try switching to the Twenty Twenty theme via Appearance > Themes, and test again. If the issue is resolved then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme author for further assistance.

    Let us know how it goes.`

    You’d need to override our default template file to do this. Here’s a general tutorial:

    https://wpjobmanager.com/document/template-overrides/

    The file to override in this case is:

    WP-Job-Manager/templates/content-job_listing.php

    Since you are using the Jobhunt theme on your website the template file you are looking for may also be part of the theme files.

    That said, we aren’t able to actually write the code for you. You may want to look into one of these services if you need help:

    Thanks!

    Hi, @kleinefrage,

    How to delete this field?

    You can hide the filed by using the following CSS code.

    #submit-job-form .account-sign-in{
    	display: none;
    }

    Why the employer has to registrate to wordpress?

    WP Job Manager uses the registered user accounts on your site to enable employers to manage their posted jobs.

    Since your website is hosted with WordPress.com, clicking the sign-in button asks the user to connect/log-in with their WordPress.com account.

    >I disabled the need of registration to post jobs, but these buttons that you can registrate to WordPress are still be showing.

    You can hide the button showing on top of the job submission form ( screenshot 1) using the CSS code above. Presently users on your site have the option of posting jobs without logging in or after logging in. If they log-in and then submit a job on the website they will be able to manage these job posts from the Job Dashboard section.

    Users who post jobs on the site without signing in are not able to manage the jobs by themselves. They will need to contact the site administrator for help.

    The log-in button on the second screenshot is showing because of the [job_dashboard] shortcode. The Job Dashboard page allows users who have posted jobs on your website to manage (update/delete / mark as filled ) them. Because the page allows users to edit the job posts they have submitted, we need the user to sign in to determine which job posts they have the correct permission for managing.

    >And are there possible other registrations, not to WordPress or woocommerce?

    Please contact WordPress.com support for more help on this issue here.

    Hi @cemserdar,

    Thanks for reaching out, and I am sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with the plugin.

    Can you give us some more details and a few steps on what exactly happened? I can then recreate the same on my test website and submit a detailed report to our developers to help fix the issue.

    If you like, you can also submit the report directly to our developers here

    Hi @fusap23,

    Thanks for contacting us! To answer your questions,

    >1) Ability to show similar jobs on the same page of the jobs (so candidates can see other similar jobs to apply to)

    The plugin provides a Jobs listing page where users can see all jobs listed on your website. This page also has filtering/searching built-in so that candidates looking for a particular kind of job and filter and narrow down the list of jobs.

    >2) Can I set each job to go to a different email address? For example, I have different people handling different jobs so they need to receive the resume and email (we won’t be monitoring them inside WordPress).

    Yes, you (admin) or the user posting jobs on the website can specify the email address to which they want to receive the resume when posting the job listing.

    >3) How do I add social sharing features on the job pages?

    You can follow this guide for adding Social Sharing buttons on Job detail pages
    https://kb.astoundify.com/article/611-how-to-enable-social-sharing-on-posts-jobs-resumes-etc/.

    >4) Does it conform to the theme so it looks consistent?

    The plugin is designed to work with most standard WordPress themes. In case the plugin’s content does not look consistent with your theme you can use Template Overrides to change the look and feel of the WP Job Manager content on your site to match it with the active theme.

    More information here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/template-overrides/

    >5) Is it set up for Google searching for jobs?

    Yes, more details here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/google-job-search-integration/.

    Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

    That’s great to hear! Thanks for letting us know.

    Hi @a2zwebcode,

    The WP Job Manager and core addons are designed to facilitate posting & to manage job listings on a WordPress website. The plugin can fulfill some of the requirements listed in your message, and for others, you may need to either get other plugins or write some custom code.

    Here are the details,

    1. There will be 2 roles in Website backend for ex: Basic and Premium
    2. When a client signs up one role “Basic” will be assigned to Client
    3. Admin will get Notification about new client signup.
    4. Admin can assign other roles(ex. Premium) to clients.

    WP Job Manager and the core addons do not provide user management facilities. The plugin comes with an Employer user role that can be used to manage the users who can post and edit/update their own job listings. ( https://wpjobmanager.com/document/the-employer-role/ )

    Dashboard

    The plugin provides a Job Dashboard page where logged-in users can see and update/edit/delete the Job listings which they have submitted. More details here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/the-job-dashboard/

    The Job Dashboard does not provide features for managing user profiles.

    You can create a page to list all the jobs posted on the website using the [jobs] shortcode. Details here https://wpjobmanager.com/document/shortcode-reference/

    FOR ADMIN

    1. Can post a job on behalf of a Client by login to the client account or may be directly from the admin area.

    You can use a User Switching plugin for this workflow ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-switching/ )

    2. Can make a job featured. – ONLY ADMIN CAN MAKE A JOB FEATURED NOT THE CLIENT

    This can be done from WordPress Admin > Job Listings page.

    3. Can assign a Role to a Client.
    4. Can provide statics to Client for activities on their jobs

    The WP Job Manager plugin does not have these features; you will need to use other plugins or custom code on your website for this functionality.

    I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

    That’s great to hear! Thanks for letting us know.

    I’m going to close this thread now. However, if something else comes up, feel free to open a new topic and we will be happy to help.

    Hi again,

    Can you help on how to do this “add overflow-x: auto; CSS code to the

     tag in the AMP version of the page.”?

    For this, you will need to consult the documentation of the AMP plugin used on your website. You can also contact the plugin developers for help.

    Hi,

    With Sensei, you can add multiple learners to a course at once, the only caveat being that you will have to enter the usernames, or email addresses in theAdd Learner to Course` input box one by one.

    Enter 3 or more characters in the search box -> let the user search box show result -> select the highlighted user -> repeat for next learner.

    For example https://d.pr/i/p9sJbY

    Hi, shindevijaykr,

    I checked the issue with the responsive styling of the code block on that page, and from what I can see, the overflow issue is happening because, in the AMP version of the page, there are some missing styles for the <pre> tag.

    Mainly the AMP version of the page does not have the following CSS code.

    pre {
        overflow-x: auto;
    }

    On my test website, I checked the issue using AMP plugin, and the overflow behavior of the code block seems to be working correctly in the AMP version of the page.

    To resolve the issue you can try using a different AMP plugin or add overflow-x: auto; CSS code to the <pre> tag in the AMP version of the page.

    Hi Lucien,

    The issue, as you describe, seems to be happening because of caching issues. Please try the following.

    1. Clear & rebuild any website caches you may have.
    2. Ask the students to clear their browser cache and check whether they are able to progress to the next lesson.

    While checking your site, I noticed that you have the WooCommerce Paid Courses plugin installed. Please use this form to get support for our paid add-ons:

    Hi Nikki,

    Thanks for reporting the issue. I tried replicating it on my test website but was not successful.

    On the Sensei LMS > Learner Management page in WordPress Admin data for both Date Started and Date Completed is getting registered properly. Both show separate dates for when the learner started taking the course and when they completed it.

    It’s possible that there might be a conflict with one of your current plugins or your theme.

    Hi there,

    The way a Job detail page looks on the front end of the website is controlled by the active theme.

    Please try switching your site temporarily to Twenty Twenty-One theme and check if the page looks okay.

    If the issue is resolved then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme author for further assistance.

    Let us know how it goes.
