Coupon categories is a different section and the attached screenshot is from the add/edit coupon section. While adding/updating the coupon section, you will get the features to select/deselect tags and attributes for the coupon.

Coupon categories will be used if you want to categorize coupons in different types.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I updated the plugin version with the mentioned functionality now you can categorize the coupons using WordPress post & category combination.

Also, if plugin is working fine for you then try to improve the rating. Rating is actually based on working functionality not the enhancements.
