In reply to: [WP Opulus] Nivo Slider Not PresentAs a temporary workaround before they release a theme update, I have commented out the line referencing
jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js
infunctions.php
. This had an instant effect – pages load much quicker now.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [WP Opulus] Nivo Slider Not Present+1 for Stefano’s request. I’m having the same issue. Checking my site with Google PageSpeed shows the 404 error for the following non-existent file is adding significantly to the page load time:
/wp-content/themes/wp-opulus/js/jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js?ver=1.1

In reply to: [Simple Colorbox] No lightbox caption displayingJust wanted to say thanks to others on this thread for investigating the problem and posting the code snippets. This issue was driving me nuts and you have provided a solution that works for me.
Strangely, I tried the Restore Image Title plugin and it didn’t have any effect on the gallery html ie it didn’t cause the image title to be output in the title tag.
I then added dhennen’s snippet to the end of the plugin code and this solved the issue. However, I did use this on a 6 year old WordPress site, so I expected it to a little different.

In reply to: [Pinboard] creating a portfolio pageHi Meitar. Thanks for following up my feedback.
I’ve updated the plugin and it’s working well. Have embedded a spreadsheet in this post.
Marked this as resolved.
Thanks again for your help,

In reply to: [Redirection] [Plugin: Redirection] Help with regular expressionApologies. After some more testing across different browsers it seems that the expression is working ok.
Google Chrome on Mac doesn’t like it – but Firefox and Safari are ok.
Hi John. Thanks for providing a new version so quickly. I’ve tried v2.2.29 on two sites and it’s working well.
After activating the plugin, I did the following:
1) Go into Groups and deleted everything.
2) Tried to make a new redirect – it failed.
3) Went back into Groups and manually created a new group (I called mine “Redirections”)
4) Created a new redirect – this was added ok.Yep, I’ve seen this issue but with creating a new page on version 3.0.1. After creating a new page, the home page started redirecting to the new page.
Deleting the page didn’t resolve the problem. Deactivating the plugin did resolve the problem.

In reply to: WP 2.9 image insertion no longer allows url to off site resourceLooks like this problem was solved in WP 2.9.1.
Specifying any URL (external and internal) is working fine for me since I upgraded.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP 2.9 image insertion no longer allows url to off site resourceI’ve been having this same issue with the “Add an image” popup in the Media Library in WP 2.9. Here’s the case where specifying your own Link URL works ok:
1) Insert image > Upload from computer
2) Manually add a URL in the “Link URL” field
3) Choose “Insert into post”
4) The URL is added correctly. Here are the steps where specifying your own Link URL in the Media Library fails:
1) Insert image > Media Libary tab
2) Click “Show” next to an existing image
3) Manually add a URL in the “Link URL” field
4) Don’t click “Insert into post”. Instead, choose “Save all changes” at the bottom of the “Add an image” popup.
5) Click “Show” next to the image you edited in steps 2 and 3.
6) The URL in “Link URL” field hasn’t been saved. The URL has reverted to https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/imagefilename.jpgI’ve noticed that since upgrading to WP 2.9, the Link URLs for all files in my Media Library have reverted to https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/imagefilename.jpg. Fortunately, these changed links haven’t carried through to the front-end.
