Issue resolved
Hi there,
Hi,
just finished with testing, well, in the meantime, what I did was: deactivated the plugin, cleared the cache… etc.
And now it seems to be working as I re-activated the plugin, and clicked the manual Import in the Settings (and Wiped, too). Weird, though, it was not expanding as yours in the video. Now it is. The problem seems to be solved. As for the Notification, unfortunately I can’t show you, since I rather clicked “Later” for now, so it disappeared finally, and has not re-appeared since. Maybe it will in a while, AND if it’s buggy, I might get back to you.
Thanks for your help, though.
Have a great day

GabeHi Denis,
well, THAT is the point that I DO NOT want to translate a username, but there is no other option, since in the TP editor mode it is NOT dynamic, but a single text with my admin name (geekay) in this case. I don’t get it why the username itself is there AS a simple text, instead of some kind of dynamic “username string” (I’m not an IT expert).
So, if I’m logged in with a testuser, nothing happens when you switch language.
Screencast video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z9TkhGXKOltil-K5Bfs3pcZ8Lt7n4lDj/view?usp=sharing1) You can see in Elementor’s editor that “üdv. Geekay a fiokódban” (Welcome Geekay to your account) message is partially dynamic (username (Geekay) is dynamic, the rest welcome message is constant/simple txt)
2) In TP Editor all I could do is to translate the whole SIMPLE TEXT string as it offers geekay (username) as text, not a kinda dynamic content, so I put simply “Welcome to your account” (it could be anything, though)
3) in the live site it seems working, (wrong, though because I could write anything in place of the username).
4) with a testuser account it does not even switch, as it should say: “Welcome Testuser to your account” (if it was dynamic), but as I mentioned the “username” itself (geekay, or testuser, or whoever) is not dynamic in TP editor. So, for me, it would make more sense (but I’m not an expert as I said), if in TP editor it would look sg. like this (‘%’ is sg for username):
“üdv. ‘%’ a fiókodban”, so all I should do is translate “Welcome ‘%’ to your account”)I hope it makes sense now. To sum it up: I can’t see the username as dynamic string.
Have a great day

GabeIssue resolved
Hi there,
well, thanks for your reply but what you just suggested does not work, which by the way turned out to be an incompatibility issue with Rank Math and TP. So particularly the translation block itself does not work.
Just to make it clear: what happens is, text translated as a block will not render in the live site, only shows up in the TP editor mode, see screencast video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o3piQY6-yYDcFbV65z8MEYBBhdXBO_YO/view?usp=sharing
BUT it also shows that deactivating Rank Math solves the problem. So it is weird, because the 1st time we deactivated all the plugins to see if there’s an incompatibility issue only with TP, it did not show, just after several attempts.
Anyway, it’s been being handled by Rank Math support team now, who might reach out to your support team if needed.
(Unfortunatelly 2 other open tickets are still to be solved;
1) Elementor dynamic content (in our case: username) is not dynamic (but simple txt string) in TP editor, so can’t use/translate that for different logged-in users.
2) when 2nd language is set, Woocommerce logout returns with 404 error; but these are other open tickets)Have a great day

GabeHi,
thanks for the quick reply, I just contacted you via your website…
Fingers crossed
Thanks again

GabeHi there,
thanks for the suggestion. Initially (as mentioned) I checked all the plugins one by one. AND the Theme.
We use Astra, and I don’t know what’s going on but NEITHER the default Twenty twenty NOR Astra seems to be working with Rank Math (at least for me)
see recorded video:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ecdvif-MJjsNsIknSzqLnJ874AMYziI2/view?usp=sharing1) start – switch active theme to: default Twenty twenty + plugins: TP and Rank Math – does not work
2) disable Rank Math – it works
3) same with AstraWell, I hope this helps you suggest sg.
Thanks in advance
regards
GabeHi there,
thank you very much for your reply in a short time.
I also tried to reproduce the bug/issue and recorded the steps/screen, and uploaded the .mp4 (4,3MB) video to my work Google drive (permission granted):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o3piQY6-yYDcFbV65z8MEYBBhdXBO_YO/view?usp=sharing
Hope it will make sense. I also try to explain what’s going on
1) text untranslated?(site already set to EN to show untranslated txt)
2) switch?to another window with?TP open?to edit/translate (block style)
3) copy/paste txt?/ save translation (translation shows – ONLY here in TP edit mode)
4) check/refresh page –> translation disappears (or won’t show)
5) go to plugins / deactivate Rank Math
6) check/refresh page –> translation?appears
7) go to plugins / re-activate Rank Math
8) check/refresh page –> translation gone, againIt’s weird for me… but hope it can be figured out
Thanks again
Regards
GabePS: LOVE your plugin, BTW
UPD: we tried to deactivate then reactivate the plugins, but couldn’t find if any other plugins would cause the problem.
Unfortunatelly it is really inconvenient if several parts of the main content (which are inline formatted) should be re-translated because it is a lot of content (we started, though, since it looks weird that some blocks/paragraphs – however translated – won’t change/render when changing language.
I assume you are quite busy with support but we hope to hear from you asap.
RGDSWell, a weird thing happened.
When testing the site, the “testcustomer” invoice generated in Hungarian, which made sense, and mine (admin) was in English, which didn’t make any sense, while the site language is set the same.I guess I found out about the problem. The site language itself set to Hungarian (in the WP general settings), but if my own language setting (as a user/admin) in the users settings is set to English (which I prefer), the invoice is generated in English.
The conclusion is that (site language/user language relation):
(HU / EN –> generates EN invoice)
(EN / HU –> generates HU invoice)
which relates only admins (or users), who can set their language in the backend. So, since it has been figured out, and seems to be solved, sorry for bothering.
Have a nice day.
GHi, thanks for your efforts. Looking forward to hearing from you asap.
Kind rgds.
