In reply to: [OceanWP] Identical sites, different Font Awesome icon behaviorAfter some tinkering I found the culprit. It was an improperly configured SSL. Fixing that made the issue go away. Just posting it here for other people that may have the same issue.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Identical sites, different Font Awesome icon behaviorThank you for the reply. It is comforting to know that it is no generic Firefox / OceanWP issue, just my local problem.
The Preloader does not help, it keeps on loading, not showing anything. There must be something funny in my local setup, it puzzles me why one site loads without issues while the other does not show the icons. I’ll investigate further.
@manni79 No, I did not use Feedzy functions in functions.php.
In addition, the alternative RSS plug-in I use now has no problem with Feedburner feeds, on the same webserver where I previously ran Feedzy. The exact same feedburner feeds do not work with Feedzy and do work now.
Hi Mat, I submitted the form. Hope that it helps to find the root cause of this issue.
Hi Mat. Very strange indeed. The error does appear all the time. I have cleared the cache, disabled Feedzy, restarted my website, enabled Feedzy again, all to no avail.
Furthermore, my hosting provider notified me about explosive growth of my database. When checking, we found that the wp_options table had literally tens of thousands of %transient_feed% entries.
For now I have disbled Feedzy and installed a competitive RSS plugin. I must say that the speed increase is striking. Too bad, because I like the Feedzy plugin.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Wrong font in Editor since WP 5.9I’ve got the same issue. Settings in Customizer are set to Standard. Using Gutenberg Editor and TinyMCE Advanced, since upgrading to 5.9 the Editor does not follow the Standard font setting from OceanWP anymore.
Switching off all the plugins and enabling one by one did not give any indication.
Hi Mat,
Thank you for your reply.
After disabling all my plugins except Feedzy the issue reproduces on my side. So we can safely say that for me it is not a conflict with another plugin.
My current WP-version is 5.9, the latest. I am also on Feedzy 3.8.2, the latest. PHP-version is 8.0.15 according to my Site Health. Hope this helps!
I seem to have some feedburner compatibility issues as well. I use Feedzy for my blogroll in the sidebar at https://www.geldnerd.nl. Two blogs in my blogroll use feedburner. They give me the following errors:
https://earlyretirementextreme.com/feed/ : https://feeds.feedburner.com/EarlyRetirementExtreme is invalid XML, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Mismatched tag at line 10, column 12
https://luxeofzuinig.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default : https://feeds.feedburner.com/LuxeOfZuinig is invalid XML, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Mismatched tag at line 10, column 12
Hmm, time to look for an alternative then.
Hi Mat, thanks for your reply.
All feeds passed the ‘Validate & Clean’ test in the Feed Categories, and the widget is not giving any error messages in the sidebar. I have tested all feeds manually just to make sure, and there are no issues with the feeds.
Feedzy settings: Showing authore, date, time, no images, just the title. Showing 25 items.
Inbetween, Feedzy upgraded to 3.7.4. Using that version, I cannot reproduce the problem anymore. I will mark it as resolved.
OK, I got it working again with some issues. I will open a new support topic for that. But as the original issue (Feedzy widget not accessible in admin area) was resolved with the release of 3.7,3, I will mark this topic as Resolved.
Just spoke to a fellow blogger and Feedzy user Uitklokken.
He was on WordPress 5.7 updating to Feedzy 3.7.3. and everything worked fine. After that he did a manual upgrade to WordPress 5.8 and the Feedzy widget broke down, same symptoms as I have.
So something seems to be not compatible between Feedzy 3.7.3 and WordPress 5.8?
Furthermore, I cannot set a Title for the widget block.
OK, so 3.7.3 gives me access to the widget. I can set it up. However, when updating the Widgets the system reports an error ‘not a valid JSON response’ (In dutch: Er was een fout. De reactie is geen geldige JSON-reactie.)
The widget is not displaying on my site.
