Sorry…not sure if I answered your question about the database import correctly. I do have admin credentials for logging into the old wordpress and I did export all files from there and import them into my new WordPress…however, I did receive several error messages (10) importing attachment https://mrdd.ingenesis.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/08administrationcalendar.pdf…Remote file error: Remote server did not respond.

Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately, I had no information whatsoever from the previous developer or previous hosting provider…he wouldn’t return any phone calls. I had to import the entire site without credentials of any sort…which made re-configuring the pages a pain!

Basically the company needed to have all logos/text of any sort saying “mental retardation” removed b/c of a name change …

1. This may be a silly question, but how do I import the database from the previous hosting provider without any credentials? Is it possible? I imported the entire site through my Expression Web using http? Evertyhing is running as it should other than the wordpress aspect of it.

2. When I create a new post in wordpress, it does show up on the dashboard under new posts…but not on the site itself. I just created a new page in Expression web and published it…that does not show up. They aren’t linking together?

3. My themes folder is under wp-content/themes/mrdd…but in WordPress it says that the default theme is being used (even though it is not…it’s using the mrdd one, but at the bottom it says the mrdd one is there but corrupt b/c the template is missing. I’ve tried going out to the old site to get it, but I receive an error message that I don’t have permissions to access wp-content/themes on that server.

I’m actually really liking the look of WordPress and how easy it is for the user to make changes…I’m wondering if I made a mistake in the installation. I got the site up & running first on our hosting server…so the files were all published the the new directory prior to installing WordPress…would that cause an issue? Once WordPress is installed…does using Expression Web to make modifications to the pages cause an issues?
