Thanks for the link, I don’t think it looks messy at all.

I noticed footer links are the darker shade of pink (#d41f56) so the issue only appears to affect background images on the homepage.

These images appear to be generated or handled by Elementor, which suggests the problem could be with the page builder rather than Lodestar. If Elementor provides the option to choose a hex colour for those areas, they may be applying additional CSS that creates different shades.

It would be worth talking to them to start with, to see how those images are handled.

I’ve checked your site and it actually uses the default WordPress comment form as part of the theme, rather than Jetpack Comments. Therefore, the theme authors will be the best people to contact for advice about making modifications to the order of elements in the comment area.

Custom code would be required to change the page order of Jetpack Comments and that is outside the scope of our support, so I recommend contacting a developer for help in that instance.

There are a couple of things to check:

1. Jetpack’s Image CDN must be activated before the Tiled Gallery option will appear. I can’t see that active on your site at the moment so please go to Jetpack > Settings > Performance and check “speed up image load times” is activated there.

2. Go to Jetpack > Settings > Debug (in the footer) and then click “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site” — you’ll want to make sure the Tiled Galleries module is activated there.

Just to double check, did you try entering the Goodreads ID before installing the other plugins back again (with only Jetpack activated)?

Please try deactivating and deleting the Jetpack plugin and make sure the existing Jetpack plugin folder is no longer there in wp-content > plugins. Then reinstall it from scratch, reactivate and reconnect to WordPress.com.

Oh I see what you mean now. I was looking for a scrollbar but actually, I can just swipe left and see the extra space. I’ve reported the issue here:

In the meantime, I tried working on some CSS to remove the extra space but haven’t had any luck — the issue doesn’t occur on Device Mode in Chrome’s developer tools so it’s quite hard to see exactly what is causing the problem. But the developers should be able to look into that ??

I want to change the background color only when the hamburger menu is in the activated state (when the x appears to close the menu)

I’ve made a small change to the CSS so please try this:

@media screen and (max-width: 700px) {
      .toggle-on::before {
            background: #ff0000;
      }
}

I’ve made the background colour red, just so you can see this styling is only applied for mobile — but you can change it to whatever you fancy.
