In reply to: [WP Social Comments] Not working if logged out of FB and console errorHi,
According to the Facebook policy, users in European Region, need to login to Facebook to see the comments box. Other than EU can see comments box without login to Facebook but to post comments, they need to login to the Facebook.
The European Region is a specific list of countries including:
- The European Union (EU): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden
- Non-EU Members, but in EEA-Only/EFTA or Customs Union: [EEA Only/EFTA] Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway;Switzerland: [EU Customs Union] all Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Monaco; UK sovereign bases in Cyprus; [European Customs Union] Andorra, San Marino, Vatican City.
- Non-EU members, but part of European Outermost Regions (OMR): Martinique, Mayotte, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Saint-Martin, Madeira, The Azores, Canary Islands.
- United Kingdom (all British Isles)
To resolve this, we have an option in the plugin’s options page “Show EU notice?” You can enable this option to show a message for EU users to login first to see the comments.
Hope it will help. Please feel free to contact for any query if you have.

In reply to: [WP Social Comments] How to Disable on specific post/page or blockHello c@coolteli123,
Yes you can do it easily.
- In each post, you have the option to allow or disallow Facebook Comments. A widget is available on the right side bar of the EDIT POST. Just uncheck the checkbox and press save. It will be marked for that post only.
- You can use shortcode [gs-fb-comments] to show comments, anywhere in the post, page or block. And can be removed easily when required.
- 3. You can also select/deselect post types from plugin’s option to set rules at post type level.
Hope it will help. Please let us know if you need more details.

In reply to: [WP Social Comments] Comments are not syncingHello @earthjibber
This plugin is designed to work on sites only. And it can post your site post to Facebook on user’s timeline if user select the checkbox while commenting on your site.
It does not sync or post your Facebook post’s comments to your site. Your site post and your Facebook post are two different entities.Hope it will help.
