  • I got that same WordFence alert and panicked by turning off TablePress and alerting everyone I needed an alternative.

The latest update to TEC has issues with the Divi Theme. There are several posts about this bug. I, for ex., cannot get Google map or venue address to display. A fix was promised by mid-October. In the meantime we were told to roll back to 6.0.1 (or something like that) but I accidentally rolled back to 5. Search this forum for precise instructions.

Very latest TEC update version 6.0.1.1 has serious issues with Divi. No idea how widespread, but Venue addresses aren’t displaying. And TEC changed my menu color set up with Divi. Fix is promised by middle of the month.

    Thanks!!!

I rolled back to 5 not realizing it was the very latest, minor update that broke things. I got some error messages but couldn’t find what they were referring to. Do you think its safe to update back to 6.0.0.1 since I migrated 3 events from 5 to 6 before installing 6?

    PeeAye’s product looks very nice!

I’m heartened to see Timely Customer Support weighing here unlike over last few years (from what I could see even with Pro), esp. for those with free versions.

I loved using Timely with Divi Theme (attractive, easy to style, easy to place anywhere), but after so many Dos attacks and targeting Timely Code in Timely events and SiteGround throttling us and threatening to shut us down over it), I had to disable Timely.

We are now reliant on Gravity Forms so dare not risk its getting broken.

I’ve regretfully been trying to move to the The Events Calendar which is more difficult to use with Divi and requires Pro AND a Paid add-on just to work with Divi, I’m really wondering if maybe I want to go back to Timely if its no longer such a hacking target?

Thanks thewebexpert — i saw your rely too late!

I thought TEC 6 was the problem so I downgraded to 5. Yikes.

And then I had more problems with site today (errors at webhost SiteGround level) so had to roll back to yesterday’s back-up. Not sure if TEC 5 was responsible.

Not sure what to do now. I’m worried that I was rolling back info that had already been migrated from 5 to 6 so its been migrated to 6 but TEC is at 5.

Think I’ll just wait for a TEC and Divi Fix.

    Hello GeoffBel,

Thank you for the instructions. I downgraded from 6+ to last v. 5 but was told there was a “fatal error” and instructed to check site functionality.

I cannot find anything wrong (home page looks good, as do a few others, and the plugin looks like its working) but i haven’t put it tested it heavily. I do see the “venue” map now showing, albeit very small, on our event pages.

Hope its safe for me to share this error message after downgrading as per your links and WP’s instructions:

Confirmed. Customizing the Default Accent color for TEC in the Divi Customizer breaks Divi menus colors.

When I reverted to TEC’s default accent color, the Divi menu went back to correct color for entire website.

Funny thing, when I was editing in Customizer the menu appeared correct. Only after logging out did I notice the TEC changed my menu color globally,

Update: After customizing our calendar with Divi Customizer, our top menu, the secondary menu, suddenly changed color from a burnt orange to a bright cerulean blue. Happened to entire top menu.

Maybe because I changed the accent color for TEC??? I will try to undo that to see what went wrong.

    TIA

Thank you for being so responsive. Anxiously awaiting a Divi fix! Helps to know you’re not alone.

Sorry, the Divi Customizer IS working, although features are frustratingly limited. Apologies, I was looking for the styling tabs that I saw in your documentation.

Thank you for recommending Pee Aye Creative’s add-on!!! But the Add-Ons keep adding up;) Weighing PAC vs. Pro if I decide TEC is the way to go.

Any way I can style fonts or anything in CSS? I’m no expert but and a volunteer for this our small non-profit. TIA…

What is the Divi compatibility plugin???

I’m a long time Divi User who just set up TEC and am really struggling with it. Venues are completely broken and very little seems to work.

Even though TEC documentation says you can change button and link colors, I can’t style a thing—can’t change default colors, font families, font sizes, featured image size and default view. No short codes for putting calendar into a module.

    Thanks in advance.

PS Suddenly my website editing has slowed to all a crawl. Have to hit “Save” multiple times to get it to take. Was fine before TEC 6.0.1. Using Divi Theme and SiteGround web hosting.

    Following

TEC brand new user here. I can’t migrate down or roll back to 6.0 because I made a bunch of new Venues and Events today. Venue details and maps are completely missing from Events! I’m testing the free version of TEC with Divi (which I’m up to date on).

I thought that AT LEAST an address and/or Map would show up from my Venue creation into these new Events. Am I wrong????

BTW where/how do you enter Google Maps decimal GPS coordinates or Google Maps link to place a pin??? I only see address fields (street, town, state, country) in the Venues area. Do you always have to spec United States?
