In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Cannot change event titleHey @clairelulz,
This due to the fact that Elementor CSS rules win over ours.
2 solutions:
- Change the white color for H1 directly in Elementor
- Make your CSS more specific than Elementor’s by adding an ID in your CSS rule so that your rule wins
#tribe-events-content .single-tribe_events .title_subtitle_holder * {
color: #000 !important;

In reply to: [WP Conference Schedule] Is this plugin still in active development?Hey @dannyfoo,
Yes, it is not only development, but was rebranded and enhanced as a premium add-on.
You can see it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/products/event-schedule-manager/

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Multi-language support?Hey @chris-yau
There is some basic compatibility with Polylang (via their Polylang Pro offering) and I am unaware of compatibility with TranslatePress.
However, we are compatible with WPML https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/

In reply to: [Advanced Post Manager] Has this plugin been abandoned?Thank you for reaching out.
To answer your question, the plugin has not been abandoned at all. It’s just stupidly stable in what it does ??
With that in mind, if you do find an issue, let us know please. But to your point, we should update the compatible WordPress version and we will.
Thank you for the callout!
Best,
GeoffHey @guzza93
Thank you for reaching out.
I am sorry to hear the category colors are not displaying as expected. From what I can tell, your main event page is displayed using the awesome Divi Events Calendar plugin.
The category colors plugin is currently designed to work with The Events Calendar plugin without that extra layer. In fact, you can see that for yourself if you temporarily deactivate Divi Events Calendar.
I would recommend that you reach out to the PeeAye creative team to see if they have some extension or snippet that increases integration between their plugin and this one.
That said (you didn’t hear this from me), the word on the street is that the good folks at The Events Calendar are considering merging events category colors in one of their plugins. Stay tuned!

Hey @samanthat
Thank you for testing things out.
The next step would be to test deeper for conflicts.
We usually recommend doing this on a staging site.I would definitely spend some time playing around with different caching settings (starting by disabling it completely). But this is just intuition at this point.
If none of this works, you might want to take a look at the PHP version you are using. I would recommend PHP 8.0.x.
Let us know if you can pinpoint the cause of this strange behavior.
Hang in there,
GeoffGood morning @samanthat
Thank you for doing that.
I believe the issue is due to a conflict with your caching solution (I am not exactly sure what that is).We are currently working on different variation of that specific issue.
Thank you for your patience as we are doing this. With that in mind, there are a few things you should try (it might actually fix things for you):
- Take a look at the following guide and make sure that your caching plugin is configured as per its dedicated Knowledge Base article
- Make sure your cache expiration is not longer than 12 hours (especially for nonces).
- If you are using the SG Optimizer plugin, you can try temporarily disable the Remove Query Strings from Static Resources option
Last but not least, if all of this fails, you can downgrade to version 6.1.3 of The Events Calendar temporarily (until we release a more permanent fix)
Let us know how that goes,
GeoffHey @samanthat
We are sorry that the category colors are not displaying as intended for you and we’ll definitely look into it!
With that in mind, the link you provided does not seem to display the calendar at all, making it harder to pinpoint the issue.
I believe you can get the calendar up and running again by changing the template selected for events under Events > Settings > Display.
Usually the Default Events Template solves that issue.
Let us know how that goes.
Hang in there!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Problem translating slugs in WPMLSome of our users have reported an issue similar when logged-in, especially if their WP user was set to a different language than the site’s main language.
Would you mind seeing if the issue persists while logged out?
Hey @hobeika
Unfortunately, every event plugin uses slightly different code to handle events. To your point, an automated tool would be awesome.
But for now, in order to keep things cleaner, the extra step of exporting to CSV or .ics is necessary to keep things nice, clean and compatible.
CSV offers more control and is free while .ics is processed via our premium Event Aggregator add-on.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Can’t set event date older than 5 yearsIt sounds like you are using Block Editor.
Our apologies for this limitation.Until this gets fix, we do have a couple of workarounds:
- Import past events using a CSV file OR
- Disable Block Editor in Events > Settings > General – that will let you create past events with Classic Editor. Once you are done, you can reactivate Block Editor (and tweak your past events if need be)
Best,
Geoff
