In the end I think it was just the browser I was using on this computer ‘Safari’… as everywhere else they seem to look fine. Best of luck. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Someone else has suggested that it is something I have running on my blog , like a plug in, as the uploaded image seems to be ok in WP. I tried removing my Pin it button plug in, but that didn’t make a difference. Might try deinstalling some others too to see if that works. Thanks again for your help yesterday ??

I insert the full size already, so that’s not it. Thanks anyway for all your help. If I find another solution I will post it here ??

No I don’t insert the full size…
I resize them to upload them to my blog so they are not massive and they don’t take ages to load. I resize them to 700px wide. I have done a screen grab of the image size as it appears on my blog and I know the photos are actually coming up at the width of 660px, but changing them from 700 to 660 doesn’t make a difference.
