In reply to: [WordPress Hashtags] Hashtag link leads to "page not found"Hi @lalaloo You can use this plugin internally (only for your site) with the syntax Samuel gives above, but the results will be poor (only from the blog component), because the original wordpress search tool is not adapted to the buddypress component.
I have also installed
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/buddypress-global-search/ for that reason.
Now when clicking on a hashtag, I have a page will results from all buddypress.Samuel’s plugin though doesn’t recognize all post types automatically. For example I use ideastream posts https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-idea-stream/ and I had to insert a piece of code Samuel gives for this kind of situations.

In reply to: [Social Media Feather | social media sharing] A print button ?Well, when I print using the browser, it prints the whole page, with sections I don’t need (site header, footer, sidebar etc). If it were possible to print just the article where the print button is, it would make sense I think. But as I am not a developer, I don’t know if such a thing is technically possible…
PS That is not a real problem, just easiness for people collaborating with paper (especially in businesses, where they need to add notes on the paper)

In reply to: [Buoy] Disable the safety information modalHow does the safety information modal limit the tool to emergencies or prevent people from repurposing it for other uses? It seems to me like if you’re not in an emergency, ignoring this screen is less of a bother than if you are in an emergency and need to see safety information but don’t.
I didnt propose to remove the screen, but giving an option to disable it. I dont think I know all other people needs and what bothers them. When my site will be in production I will just ask them: “Do you want that screen or not?” And I will let them decide.
Yes, this is already a proposal we are working towards in future versions. You can track our progress on the issue here.
Good news, thanks!

In reply to: [Buoy] Disable the safety information modalIf you have suggestions for how to address this issue through improved usability or user experience design, we would love to hear it.
I think it would be good to give the possibility to disable this screen.
Buoy is an excellent tool which can help people; why limit it to emergencies? One can repurpose it for other social needs for example against poverty.
Poor people search opportunities to buy cheap. A person could alert their teams about a lot of products at discount prices, about flash sellings, and even free products for ex: seminars. Buoy would be very useful in case of offers with a deadline, ex: promotions for some days.
For poor people every cent counts. As many admins can repurpose Buoy, some of them may not need this screen. For example I need Buoy for professionnal emergencies, but there are so many professions with special needs and I dont really know what to suggest as safety information.
Another idea would be this screen to be customizable by the alerter (not the admin). So if someone wants to send an alert they will be presented with their own tel numbers and emergency plan.

In reply to: [Buoy] Margin under the chatWhile “no-margin” is good for smartphones, it can become annoying with desktop/laptops when you have the taskbar of your operating system in the bottom of the screen. You have to be careful all the time, because you risk to click on an icon of the taskbar instead of the Send button. And for a better look as well. I dont like this thing at all:
https://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=831368buoynomargin.pngI tested with the Customizer of the theme to see how it looks with 5% margin on a smartphone and I see I lose some space; so I ajusted it to 2% and it is OK now.
With some other customizations (margin left/right, background color etc) it looks like this:

In reply to: [Buoy] Margin under the chatI just added a line in /buoy/css/alerts.css in the block #comments-chat
margin-bottom: 5%;

In reply to: [Buoy] Disable the safety information modalThanks for your response. Well, since there is an entry for this information on the dashboard menu, I think I dont need that screen. If I am wrong and this screen becomes a real need, I can bring it back.
Meanwhile I could locate this function in buoy.js line 152. I just removed the word “show” and the screen doesnt appear anymore.

In reply to: [Buoy] Margin under the chatOk, I found it, the screenshot with the margin is from my admin account which has many entries in the dashboard menu and so the background becomes long and continues under the chat. User dashboards have only a few entries and the chat covers all the background.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] wp-admin doesnt load correctly after renamingI finally deactivated the plugin temporarily, because I discovered other problems today. It blocks s2members options; it makes the buddypress connection widget not work properly if I block the wp-login.php page etc
I will come back when I will have finished the site development. I think I have pointed you to the right direction: wordpress install directory
Have a nice day!
