As far as checking the links, what about having the user put a code in the meta data. Photologs.org does this to verify the site is a certian users and I believe checks it every once in awhile. course I could be wrong about that checking thing.

Oh yes hotlinking is very bad. I had some people hotlinking off my site a few times. The best thing to do I found is do a redirect if someone is trying to hotlink and not allowed to. Well mainly for image files.

I agree with the overload on the information, I am pretty sure you could weed down the varouis “box style” menus on a site. the only reason I really mentioned it was because it had a ported Coppermine gallery with it. I do agree with you on your comments though.

Have you looked at e107 CMS? It might be a little over kill but you could get a post by post system, it has a port of Coppermine with it. https://www.e107.org

It is just an extra click to me. heck you think this is bad you should of saw it when fark.com changed over to opening links in a new window.

If you are using Mozilla or Firebird you can get tab extentions so all new windows open in a tab instead.

I use Coopermine for my galleries. It seems very flexible. I know they have intergrated it into forum software per users requests alreadly. Dont know how much work it would take to intergrate it into wordpress though.

That is interesting link southerngal. I was thinking about trying to do something like that, but that just makes it a whole lot easier. I did find the source link the put in the tut was better though.
@cena. The best way I have figured it out is create a test file and test css and play around them. No tables is the best way to go th0ugh.

It uses different terms (i.e. the div id and div class ) for some of the layout if I remember the default layouts for both. What areas are different?

The admin panel is using a different file. The parts that are not the same for the front page you can just edit the CSS and/or index.php
