That did the trick! I keep forgetting (as a WP newbie) that WP started off as a Blog site. When I want to insert text, creating a Blog is not the first thing I think of (but maybe I will now!)

How can I keep that blog on the homepage forever? I ready about a “sticky post” option, but I can’t find it for Evolve.

Disregard this question! Because I have not uploaded my site yet, I’m using and IP address instead of the URL to view my website. It wasn’t until I used the “view your site” from Dashboard that I could see that my home page was there, along with navigation buttons.
