Thanks for the information, but I don’t understand what I should do with the Twilio SMS code. I just have to add it to functions.php and doing that will add the tracking link in the post_meta array?

We need to send the tracking data to our customers through WhatsApp instead of the email.

We found a plugin to do this but the plugin calls the tracking data through the meta_key and meta_value associated with the order.

Since the tracking link is not being saved in the post_meta array, we cannot call it and although it could be added from another table in the database, the tracking number or provider can change, so we need the post-meta information to be updated when it change.

In any case, we are in love with all the functions that the plugin already has and with respect to WhatsApp it is just an extra function that we want to give our clients as a business.

I need the tracking link to be saved in the meta order to be able to call it dynamically from another plugin.

It does not help me to have access to the tracking link from another table because I need the one specified in the order and this can change at any time.

Anyway, I appreciate the time you spent answering my questions. I’m afraid I’ll have to ask a developer for the feature but I’m worried about losing the changes in future plugin updates ??

How will I add tracking information if it is not stored in the database?
I need the information to be stored in the database previously programmed to later use it.
It is not being saved in the database, specifically in the post_meta array.

I just want to comment I din’t added code, what is showing is the default code in class-wc-advanced-dispatch-tracking.php file from plugin.

Already try both ways, I tried using the default shipping providers and a custom one following the documentation but when I add the tracking code to the order it’s not saving/showing the tracking link in the post_meta array.

I don’t care paying but I need save the tracking link in the post_meta array because after I need to call it from another plug-in with the metakey please ??

Yes. I understand, but it’s didn’t let me add the code in functions.php because it’s says that the plugin already has that part of the code on line 520.

I can get all the meta data except the preformatted link. The array shows all except the formatted link, I attached a screenshot:

The WPNotif plugin I am using has a section to create the message template for WhatsApp based on a list of placeholders and only accepts Metadata that is in the database. In its documentation, it explains how to create personalized placeholders but I cannot find in my database the URLs of the personalized providers.

I installed an add-on to show all the hidden metafields from the orders but it only shows me those that I already mentioned before. It seems that the version of the WordPress ORG plugin is little different from the .COM version because in that it seems that there is a metafield that automatically adds the URL of the suppliers in each order.

Trying for looking inside my FTP files I downloaded that file and I did open it with Dreamweaver
