This is not a RTMP link, we’re talking about a different streaming type that probably required a premium account of JW Player.

Anyway, I want my plugin complete and able to play any streaming content; if I’m missing something, I’ll implement it in the next releases.

Happy that you found a solution!
With the Premium version, you’ll be able to add a specific preview image for every single video that will replace the default one.
Last thing… more than one video in the same page. That functionality will be implemented in a future upgrade, we’re talking about a few weeks of waiting.
JW Player 7 for WordPress is only two months old, lot of new functionalities are coming, first af all… video chapters.
If you will be satisfied using my plugin, I hope you will consider to leave a nice review.

The problem with this Dropbox video is that the url refers to the page where the service has his own video player.

The second one has a %20 inside, that means a white space in the address. That’s not good! JW Player removes it with the result that the video url changes. You can see it by inspecting your web page and checking the video code. It would be interesting to try with another one.

Anyway, you have more solutions:
– Download the video from Dropbox and upload it to your server
– Download it and upload it to YouTube chosing unlisted, not private.
In both cases, it will works 100%.

With this free version you can add a preview image only in JW Player menu and it has effect in all your videos.
With JW Player 7 for WordPress – Premium you can choose a different image for every single video.

That video is embed using my premium plugin, that’s for the responsive option that It’s not available in the free one.
Anyway, as you can see the image is displayed as expected so you probably have a problem somewhere else.

The best way to use JW7 into WordPress is with JW Player 7 for WordPress – Premium.

It also includes related videos.
That said, if you decide to add JW7 using code, you should be able to use Related Videos for JW Player, since all what it does is generate feeds.

I can’t give you support for your needs, my plugin works only with JW7.
Anyway, at the moment the implementation of player controls using the API are not supported; I will consider to add them to the Premium version in the future.
