In reply to: [McLuhan] Display the posts in two columns instead of oneHi @anlino,
Thanks for getting back to me and the explanation. For some reason the email notification from WP.org went to spam and I completely missed it.
I’ll follow your suggestions using a child theme, and see how it goes.
Thanks again.
Thanks Jules,
I really appreciate your answers.
Off to documentation reading for me.
Hi Jules,
Thanks very much for taking the time to answer my question.
I’m not sure whether I understood correctly your #2 suggestion; is it not what I already use more or less?
My snippet:
[select* enquiry-condition first_as_label "-- Please select --" "Yes" "No"]
Your suggestion:
[select* enquiry-condition first_as_label "Yes" "No"]
Unfortunately #3 did not work, as CF7 keeps showing the Submit button no matter what.
I’ll do some reading for your suggestion #1.
Thanks again,

In reply to: [HTTP headers to improve web site security] To orginal developerHi @leerlemoniii,
It’s worth noting that this developers’ domain (carlconrad.net) has been suspended meanwhile and it may be the case that he doesn’t receive any of these notifications if his email was on that domain. Judging by his WP.org profile, there hasn’t been any activity in a while now either.
I sure hope he’s alright.
On topic, I would also like to see an updated version of this plugin; of the few I’ve tested, this was worked best so far. But due to lack of any communication regarding its suspension, one has to consider the security risks for their websites.

In reply to: [Customizr] Center tagline in header (between logo and menu)I struggle with the same issue at the moment, trying to center the title and tagline on both desktop and mobile layouts.
For example, I’ve used the following CSS snippet for
.branding .branding-aside
, to no avail unfortunately:.branding .branding-aside { width: auto; padding-bottom: 0; display: flex; justify-content: center; align-items: center; }
Any other tips, please?

In reply to: [Spirited Lite] Turn 3 boxed into 4After fiddling with the code I got this far: https://pastebin.com/Nt1NC1Z9
Which works, it outputs some 4 pages that I’ve defined in the backend. Yay!
But is it correct? Do I need to to anything to sanitise it?
Thanks for your input!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Blocking XML sitemap issue in General SettingsI’m going to assume it’s a plugin bug for now.
I deleted the browser cache files, created a new admin account, also created a file
sitemap.backup.xml
, uploaded it in the root dir and then used the “Fix it” button. That deleted the file indeed and there’s no other such file there, yet the message is still there:The following file(s) is/are blocking your XML sitemaps from working properly:
/home/xxxxxx/public_html/sitemap.backup.xml
Either delete them (this can be done with the “Fix it” button) or disable Yoast SEO XML sitemaps.(emphasis added)

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Blocking XML sitemap issue in General SettingsA short update: I followed suggestions from this thread, where some users who experienced the same issue said that after they uninstalled and re-installed the YOAST plugin they got rid of the problem (don’t forget to export your settings if you’re attempting that). In my case it didn’t work.
What’s interesting is that I have indeed disabled the Yoast SEO XML sitemaps, as suggested, but the message is still there.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Blocking XML sitemap issue in General SettingsSame issue here.
Incidentally, one of my websites that uses the plugin went all the way to the 5th page in search results in a matter of weeks; I haven’t checked on it for almost a month after I updated everything.
I don’t think it’s because of the issue with the sitemap, but I thought it’s worth mentioning, in case someone finds a correlation.
Like @glgeorgiou above, I don’t use any other sitemap generator, I don’t have a standalone .xml sitemap in the root directory, I don’t have another SEO-oriented plugin (activated or not) and I have checked in cPanel for such a file, nothing’s there. Also, I made use of the YOAST “Fix it” button, to no avail.
In my case, the file in question is “public_html/sitemap.backup.xml“
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!Forum: Plugins
