Hi loganSix,
Thanks for pointing us to this issue.
Currently the system doesn’t support that. You either have an existing WordPress user or you create a new user using Socialize, you can’t have them both linked to the same user entity in WP.
We are working on a version that will allow linking an existing WordPress user to a Socialize user. this way it won’t be an issue
anymore.Itamar.

In reply to: Gigya installation with WordPressHi Santoshputhran,
I’m afraid I couldn’t find our plugin in your site, so it’s harder for me to give you an accurate answer.
It sounds like your external applications aren’t configured correctly.
If you still didn’t open ones, you can use these tutorials if you rather open them yourself:
https://wiki.gigya.com/030_Gigya_Socialize_API_2.0/020_Socialize_Setup/10_Opening_a_Facebook_External_Application
https://wiki.gigya.com/030_Gigya_Socialize_API_2.0/020_Socialize_Setup/20_Opening_a_Myspace_External_Application
https://wiki.gigya.com/030_Gigya_Socialize_API_2.0/020_Socialize_Setup/Twitter_-_Opening_an_External_ApplicationOr fill in the following form and we will configure these applications for you:
https://www.gigya.com/site/partners/wfsocapi.aspx#&&userstate=GetKeysIf you already have external applications, please provide your partner ID (this could be found under the ‘Account Settings’ tab on Gigya.com)

-Gigyabane,
Can you give me a link to your site?
itamar.
Thanks Bane – that is great feedback and we are happy that it works nicely for you.
btw – 50% registration through Socialize is nice and a bit higher (but overall consistent) with what we see in other places, including non WordPress sites.
we also see between 30%-50% overall increase in the rate of site registration with Socialize.Bane,
we will change the name:) no problem.
About that avatar – Nick (the plug-in developer) will answer that question for you.Hi,
We are currently testing the plugin on WPMU. We will be releasing a new compatible version of the plugin as soon as possible.

In reply to: Plugin: Gigya Socialize – Terms of Service – Lots of rights to your contentChris,
Here are the highlights and important points:
“…you hereby grant to Gigya a…license to use…your Member Content in connection with the Services.”
We’re not “doing what we want with the content,” we’re managing it in the spirit of the Service. this term gives us permission to send a status update created on the site, for example, but does not allow us to use any content and we can only use content in connection to our services to be able to deliver them.
Hope this helps,
Itamar.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Plugin: Gigya Socialize – Terms of Service – Lots of rights to your contentI’m not a lawyer, and I will revisit this with our legal department, but I don’t understand why you think that Gigya retains the right to use any content on your site… I don’t understand that from the bolded text you copied here.
As far as I understand, the bolded text above simply says that any information provided or given to Gigya Socialize could be recorded and used by Gigya. This does not refer to all the content in your site, merely to content that is provided by or to Gigya’s system.
This entry in our legal terms is there to allow the Gigya platform to be able to:
A) Work effectively and provide a good, scalable, and performence effective service to our partners.
B) To enable us to eventually launch a strictly opt-in revenue sharing supplmentry product to the WP plug-in. enabling partner who have the plug-in and want to make money by joining the Gigya’s ad-network to do so.Hey DeanSmith,
Can you please send me a link to your site?
Thanks,
Miri Oliel
-GigyaHi Ovidiu,
We are currently testing our plugin on WPMU. Please check again in a few days. Hopefully we’ll have a more solid answer by then.
Best,

In reply to: problems with gigya installHi Agridulce,
1) No, the partner ID is not needed anymore.
2) We’re looking in to it. I’ll get back to you whenever I have the answer.
3) Which code would you like to post? All you need in order to integrate Socialize is to install the plug in.
4) If the buttons disappear then something must be wrong with your configuration.For both the widget and main login configuration, you must enter the conf and login_params variables generated from the component designer. (you can use this page: https://www.gigya.com/site/partners/wfsocapi.aspx#&&userstate=LoginPageAPI) The following is an example of what you might put in the settings text area.
Note: Don’t copy the entire code in the configuration page. Your code should look exactly like the example shown below.var conf=
{
APIKey:’YOUR_API_KEY_HERE’,
enabledProviders:’facebook,myspace,google,yahoo,aol’
};
var login_params=
{
height:400,
width:200,
containerID:’componentDiv’,
UIConfig:'<config><body><captions background-color=”#919148″></captions><texts color=”#C876FF”></texts><background background-color=”#FF6D6D” frame-color=”#A4FFFF”></background></body></config>’
};Regards,
