Update – Still no response from Yahoo! I also find it hard to believe that only 4 of us are experiencing this problem.

At this point, I am seriously considering setting up my autoresponder to send an email to Yahoo! every 15 minutes until I get a response.

    Yahoo! advertises “Contact Customer Care
Still can’t find what you need? Our Customer Care team is ready to help, 24 hours a day.” Where are they then?

I believe that I may have found the problem. I logged into our phpMyAdmin tool and under the privileges tab, I found this error:

“Warning: Your privilege table structure seem to be older than this MySQL version!
Please run the script mysql_fix_privilege_tables that should be included in your MySQL server distribution to solve this problem!”

I can’t find this script anywhere. So, I emailed Yahoo! with this information and requested a solution.

Does anyone else have this error message? Did Yahoo! recently complete an upgrade to their MySQL server(s)?

Below is a copy of an email I just received from [email protected]:

    Hello Wayne,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Web Hosting. Thank you for contacting us once again.

I understand that you get an error message – “Can’t create/write to file

    ‘/var/tmp/#sql_13198_0.MYI’ (Errcode: 2)”.

I will need to escalate your case to our engineering team. Before I can
escalate your case I will need your permission to enter your account.

For us to look into the problem you have encountered, it will be
necessary for Yahoo! staff to enter your account and conduct some tests.

Please reply to this message, giving Yahoo! permission to enter your
Yahoo! Web Hosting account and take those steps necessary to pinpoint
the cause of this problem and explore possible solutions.

For testing purposes, please be sure to include the following
    information:

    * Your database username and password
    * If you installed the phpMyAdmin tool, we will need your phpMyAdmin
URL, as well as any other usernames and passwords used to secure this
    directory.

I look forward to your reply.

    Regards,

    Flavio

    Yahoo! Customer Care

I dont’t feel comfortable giving them my username and password into my account. I believe this could lead to identity theft or damage to our website.

Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

My blog is giving me the same error (WordPress database error: [Can’t create/write to file ‘/var/tmp/#sql_12a4f_0.MYI’ (Errcode: 2)]). It has been since last night.

Is this a Yahoo problem or do I need to change something in the mysql database? If this is a Yahoo problem, does anyone have an email address to contact Yahoo?

Thank you in advance for any help getting our blog working again.
