In reply to: Major problemsi’m guessing it’s a plugin causing the issue…i just had this problem but only in the customizer…so, first if going to default theme and deactivating plugins doesn’t work after you go back to your original theme and activate the plugins again, go to your plugins folder via ftp and rename the folder plugins.hold, refresh your dashboard and see if that fixed it. if it does, then rename the plugins folder back to just plugins. refresh, and if it is giving you the loop again, then it’s one of your plugins causing the error. so then go into the plugins folder and rename the plugins one by one with the .hold until you find the one causing the problem, yeah it’s time consuming but after you find the problem plugin you can inactivate and delete it and reinstall it and it should fix the problem. it worked for me after trying everything else with no luck. i hope it helps.

In reply to: Multiple Childs- Can You Save Layout, Content, etc?there’s a plugin that you can get called orbisius child theme creator that will let you make as many child themes as you want, even from the same parent. it’s super easy to use and edit. it makes the theme and then adds an editor with the style.css

In reply to: WordPress Admin Login Page Redirect Loop.. I have done everythingif you’re using wp super cache it could be causing the problem, that’s what was causing it for me. if you already tried resetting the plugins by renaming the plugin folder to plugins.hold and it didn’t fix it, then try going into the folder and renaming each one until you find the problematic plugin. just add the .hold at the end of the plugin name…if you’re using super cache, start with that one first…also, when i renamed the plugins folder, it fixed it but as soon as i changed it back, i got the problem again, so if this happens then definitely try doing one by one until you find the one causing the issue. then, just inactivate and delete the plugin causing the problem. i was able to reinstall the plugin that was giving me issues and now it’s fine.

In reply to: Infinite login loopi am having this problem but only with the customizer, the only thing i havent tried is reverting to my backup…which id rather not do because i have a post that will get lost if i do. i have been dealing with this for over a week, so if you can figure out the problem, maybe it will help me too lol. have you tried renaming the plugin folder? because when i rename mine it fixes it, but as soon as i change it back i get the loop again.

In reply to: Changed site url in WordPress, now can't login to Admin panelyou might have a redirect in your database…if you do then changing the url doesnt work…go into your cpanel and check your to see if you have a redirect, try to remove it if you do. if you can’t, then ask your host to fix it for you. and you might have to restore your back up and redo your database if you can’t get into your admin page…but first, try typing your url/wp/wp-admin/index.php
you have to go into the php for the data base and find where your user name and password are in the file and change it to the correct one

In reply to: child themei had trouble making a child theme as well, try the orbisius child theme plugin, no need to go through ftp and you can create the child theme from your dashboard. it makes the style.css folder and then you just go to the plugin’s editor to make changes. super easy

In reply to: Completely Blank Dashboardyou can reset the plugins by changing the plugins folder name to plugins.hold, refresh, log in again and then change the folder name back. and yes, use ftp to do it.
